Need Help with a Wheel Decision - Not fitment, aesthetics

Hi guys,

I was hoping to get your opinion on running 3pc BBS LM's on my wagon. I've always loved the look of a 3pc wheel and the especially the classic look of the BBS LM's. However, since it's a 3pc, dished wheel, I think it may look off on my wagon since the car's proportion are somewhat bulky - I have a feeling the wheel would look too small. As for finding 19's, they are very rare and expensive. Work VS-XX's are an alternative, but 19s and in used condition are also not run of the mil. I really would like a classy look so a quality rim is key. Thanks in advance!

I don't think a dished wheel will convey the message of this type of very mild build.

BUT a 19" dished wheel looks like a 18" flat faced wheel. And IMO, 18's are the sweet spot for an almost stock, virtually un-modded setup.

I also think BBS LM's look kinda funny on modern body shapes.

However, in the right colour (silver), and with a tall-ish ride height, they may look OK.

Definitely not my wheel of choice for anything but maybe a E39 M5 sedan.

This car looks good with a flat faced wheel. Concave wheels don't (IMO) suit it either.

I went with Konig (stay with me) Apliform in 18x8.5 +35 with a 245/40. Its a good looking wheel with some unique touches...and they're roll forged...and they're cheap. Like $750-800 for the set. Cheap.

So far, so good. I have some OEM aero that's waiting to go on in spring.

Thanks for your feedback. I actually looked into these Konigs and like how they look on the wagon. Do you have any other shots from different angles?

I don't, unfortunately lol. The car is currently wearing its winter wheel set.

The Konigs are being used to hold up a track car I'm putting together over the winter.

The photo below is fairly useless to you...BUT it does show the spoke face angle.

My garage is never this messy, BTW.

I'll take more wagon shots in spring.

The Konigs come with, hands down, the ugliesT centre caps I've ever laid eyes on. And since they aren't snap in, its almost impossible to find a replacement. So I ran without them last summer.

I 3D printed flat face, snap in caps that work now, however.
