Just received my Tein H tech springs...pics to come on Monday....
I have a set of Tein H Techs I just received, They look very well made and come with the spring rubber insulators so the soft part of the progressive coil does not clank on each other.
I love the look of progressive springs how the coil spacing differs from top to bottom. I am excited to see how my car handles and rides when I am done.
I have 245/40/19 tires with 19x8 RDX wheels. I have had this set on for about 15000 miles and have never once come close to rubbing, so I doubt they will rub with the mild drop of the Teins.

I have 245/40/19 on my rear with H&R springs. I rub sometimes when I have passengers in the car and I am turning my wheel. Hopefully you will be ok.

What offset are your wheels. H&R springs are lower than these by approx. 1/2 inch, I would imagine I should be good. I have never rubbed and I have definately bottomed out the suspension. The path the wheel travels will still be the same so if I didn't rub then, I shouldn't rub after install either. At least in theory.

NO RUB AT ALL. I drove the shit out of it too over bumps where the shocks bottomed out to see what it could and could not handle. So far it can do whatever it could have done stock.
A lot of people say that the Tein Htech dont lower enough. Well if so many people didn't run annorexic skinny low pro tires they are great. I think having a car slammed it ghetto fab any how. It fills the wheel wells perfectly with the 245/40/19 tires I have.

and finally, the money shots before washing....
measurement after lowering in rear, it was 27.5 inches prior to lowering.
measurement in front after lowering, it was 27.5 as well prior to lowering.
They lowered a little more than I anticipated, but I like it. I need to get 5mm rear spacers now because the 245s look tucked on the 45mm offset RDX wheels. And yall though it would rub, I told you it wouldn't, NOT EVEN CLOSE.

Thanks for the comment. As you can see in one of the pics the dealer decided to take a chunk out of one of the wheels pulling it in the car wash. They are supposedly going to fix it for me though. I said I do not want it fixed with filler, but I wanted it welded. Then they squirmed and said they may just give me a new wheel. I left the damage wheel at the dealership for them to decide on the easiest way to fix it.
It rides pretty good. Not quite as soft as stock because when the progressive spring stiffens up under compression it firms up quick. And I notice that it rebounds fast after hitting bumps, so the rebound on the stock shocks is a little soft. It take dips and big bumps good though and rides pretty smooth. It is the small abrupt bumps where you can feel a difference. It is something that most people would not notice though. I say they are good and worth the money. I do need to get an alignment though as the car pulls to the right now and tramlines a smidge.

I have 1/2 finger gap up front and 1 full finger in the rear. I think it sits about perfect if they don't sag much more. I took the car through its paces so they should not sag too much more.

thats interesting cause i figured the front would still be higher.
is it possible...that the springs are reversed? this might be a dumb question but yeah, stock front is a decent amount higher than rear so im just confuse

so they over compensate instead of evening out on purpose? or is it hard to predict cause the springs settle however they feel like it

My car now after drop measures 26.5 inches up front and 27 inches on the left rear and 27.4 on the right rear. I attribute less lean due to the firmer spring rate of the Teins supporting the weight difference better, so it leans a smidge less. Remember the gas tank is on the driver side, stupid they did this but it is. The Japanese need to copy the Germans on some of these important design features.

The are designed to pretty darn specific specs. They should be within 3mm of claimed amount. I lost a lot of height up front, more than claimed. Tein claims a front drop of 1.2", but mine dropped almost 1.5". The rear on droped about .5-.6. I would say shame on Tein for not being more accurate, but the drop is decent, more than you expect from H specs in my opinion. I sure hope they don't sag more. Ill be tucking tire when I have a full car of people.

Ride is good, the only complaint I have is when you hit abrupt bumps, like road costruction where they don't smooth it out, a smidge jarring on those kind of bumps that you should try to avoid anyways. It rides great on the freeway and very sporty. It seems to ride very smooth and solid, are they as good as coilovers, HELL NO, but they are also $600 or so less than a decent set of coilovers. Do I think they are worth it, Yes. Would I get them if like a super smooth ride and would complain the stock ride is a little firm, NO. But I am 31 years old and drive clients around on frequent occasion and i think they will be fine and un noticeable to passengers when driving normal. Now when you push it they firm up well as the progressive spring compresses it gets firm quick, very little body lean in the turns. Hits big slow bumps on the freeway well.
When someone comes out with shorter aftermarket shocks I may consider them, but I will wait for my stockers to blow first.

The rear tires did camber in quiet a bit, that makes the rear look lower, but also raises the fender. Once I get the camber more lever the rear will drop a little and the rears fender well appearance will look a little higher as well. 5mm spacers in the rear would look good, but they don't make them hubcentric on to where you can safely run them without new lugs, so I will forego the spacer idea and keep with my conservative style.

looks perfect with your tire specs. With 245/35 there is still some gap but looks like your almost tucking fronts. gjob!

From my understanding it looks lower in the front/it's raking cuz of the body lines? Ie the car is normally level, but the fenders do not match up because of the body lines, ie the back would have a higher cut cuz of the trunk etc whereas the front looks lower since its the hood is naturally lower than the trunk (If any of this makes any sense at all.)

Thanks for the comments. Ill take pics now since my detailer just got done. Now that its clean and lowered I find 3 small dents on my rear passenger pillar, hard to see but I know they are there. I am going to see if I can have a PDR guy fix it for $50 or so.

Too damn bad I found 4 minor dents on my B pilar where it looks like the detailed put his weight when he was cleaning my car, good luck for me to prove this. So now I need to roll the dice on a PDR guy to not fuck it up worse. It never ends man, right when I think I am done.

I measured before I put the Teins on....3 corners were 27.5 inches from ground to bottom of fender lip, and the right rear was 28 inches from ground to bottom of fender lip. I measured 4 tsxs on the lot that were brand new and they were all the same within 1/4 inch.

3. I have 18000 miles on my car and I just did it soooooooo. I figure if the rumor is true that this will cause your shocks to blow early, then by the time they blow Koni will have thier replacements out for this car. Hell they already have a part number for the new Yellows, just they aren't ready for sale yet. So I am sure in the 4 or 5 months they will be readily available.

I have not found out yet if you can run rear camber arms by themselves or not. I know that they change all the other settings, and there may not be enough adjustment in the OEM arms on the other setting to compensate for the camber correction. It is a never ending battle once you modify a car, I tell ya.
If they are a simple plug and play install and I will be able to get my toe and trail adjustments within spec then Yes I will get them. Nobody can answer this for me though.

Of course they would, they change the suspension so the alignment will change with it. I need to call the people who sell these arms and if you can safely run just the camber arms without needing the other 2 arms as well. If you can, I don't know why they would make the other arms as they would be useless. The only spec that gets out of wack when you lower them is the camber.

my first mod next year will be a drop and im really diggin these h-techs. i was a former believe of the eibach 1/1 but now im feeling the slightly more aggressive setup of the h/r and tein basics
