Ground control coils

Well I have been looking at suspension for awhile and while looking for coilovers i stumbled across some ground controls for the accord and last I checked we share exact suspension so im wondering if anyone has tried them on this or previous cars i know they were amazing on integras. I was thinking maybe these and the KYB Excel shocks. or am I crazy and just need to buy megan coils.

Are you referring to GC coilover sleeves that need to be installed over a shock? If so, then paired with the proper dampers ie. Koni Yellows, since there's nothing else good available for this car, they can be a solid set up. Eibach makes the springs for the GC sleeves and you can get virtually any spring rate you want to properly match them to the shocks and what you want to accomplish. If you install them on stock shocks or other OEM replacement types, you'll have to go with lower spring rates but then you won't be able to drop it very much without worrying about bottoming out, and there will likely be longevity issues. The total cost of a GC/Koni set up is going to be more than what Megan, BC Racing, etc would cost though, all parts factored in. IMO, unless you're going to track the car or take the time to dial it in, or you're just a suspension geek and want a more "hardcore" set up, it probably isn't worth it. It's not the right option if you're just going to slam it and forget it.

Check my thread on the "other" TSX forum we can't link to, in the 1st gen Suspension section.

I have KONIs and want stiffer springs, and stay 1" to 1.5" close to stock. I emailed GC and lowest rates they'll do for TSX is 400/330 -- way too much for the stock replacement damper like the Excel G.

I will most likely get Eibach ProKit. I've used GC sleeves with KONIs before, so I'm not new to this. Email them and ask, they are very helpful.
