ttk5 03-22-2011 11:39 PM

looks alright. Would look better if, no offense, you didn't do sucha sloppy job. you painted much more than just the caliper my friend. But I guess you cant really tell with the wheel on. Any distance shots?

To correct you, no offense, i meant to paint the entire thing..but okay sir

ttk5 03-22-2011 11:56 PM

dont worry none taken, but why would you want to paint over your brake pads like that...and looks like you painted over some of your brake lines and stuff too.

modesto992 03-23-2011 12:02 AM

so it all looks like one

KillerG 03-23-2011 12:47 AM

looks awesome man, if you like die while your car spirals out of control one day because the brake lines seized due to high temperature paint coating let us know or something so we can update the DIY

outside of the whole killing whoever attempts it this DIY is pretty good, take a pic of whole car side profile plz when u get a chance

KillerG 03-23-2011 12:48 AM

have i mentioned that i love boobies?

ed_423 03-23-2011 04:25 AM

i was never a big fan of the color yellow, but i'll save my judgment till we get some side profile shots

TSXKid2010 03-23-2011 08:11 AM

Wow that's....interesting. Yellow...? Not my cup of tea.

Shoulda researched a little more...hey, tell your parents to buy a BBK...cuz you'll like die with your breaks like that.

He's not replying, MODESTO, ARE YOU DEAD BRO?

MrOtocinclus 03-23-2011 08:32 AM

He won't die, it's just the rear brakes, but if he did the front also, then yeah, that's going to seriously compromise stopping power.

(Hint: you didn't just paint the caliper, you painted the entire frickin' assembly, some parts of which require lubrication to work properly.)

dont worry, he wont take offense. He meant to paint the entire thing.

saucy 03-23-2011 10:04 AM

Not sure about the yellow, and not to sure about painting the whole thing. But +1 for going with with a different color. I am def interested in seeing full side shots of this.

ed_423 03-23-2011 01:08 PM

well, that yellow will def. pop against the black color.

which, why yellow?with the murder theme you seem to be going for ( blacked out grille and super dark tail light tint), black painted calipers would seem more logical

KillerG 03-23-2011 01:29 PM

i was thinking baby blue would make sense with the whole murdered out theme no?

justnspace 03-23-2011 01:32 PM

hahahahhahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahhah ahahahha

Nice attempt.
next time you should take off the caliper and bracket. paint them separate.
Shouldnt have sprayed the pads.

yellow looks HORRID, btw.

Flipster23 03-23-2011 01:35 PM

not feelin it but its your car

ecko508 03-23-2011 01:36 PM

Yellow is horrid, i had my calipers painted on my 1g TSX and had no issues just painted my 2g TSX calipers black no issues so i dont think you should be saying stuff like that when theres no evidence to back it up. If something acctually did happen to him i hope you would all feel like shit

KillerG 03-23-2011 01:39 PM

why would we feel like shit if we are expressing concerns to him that painting sensitive and/or vital brake assembly parts may lead to premature brake failure and a risk or death of injury?

if anything atleast with our warnings he could look up the evidence himself and determine whether or not it is safe to be painting those parts of the caliper like that

KillerG 03-23-2011 01:41 PM

have i mentioned also, that i enjoy mammary glands?

justnspace 03-23-2011 01:41 PM

ahhah i wish i can do that with ppl in real life

justnspace 03-23-2011 01:53 PM

Wouldnt black be better for a blacked out theme?

ttk5 03-23-2011 01:53 PM

Whats wrong with Killer's post? :S And if something did eventually happen to him, I would feel shittier if I had said nothing in the first place. Chances are nothing will happen, but it is definitely possible that the excessive paint on all those parts will some how increase the risk in some way shape or form, even if its by 1%?

^ +2, I'd want the same. Plus if I did something as ugly as this :2cents:

WyldRice 03-23-2011 02:11 PM

I think he's going for the BUMBLEBEE theme-

next DIY...

"How To Paint Yellow Stripes down your car!" :)

TSXKid2010 03-23-2011 02:27 PM

^ He's a bee, he's a bee, he's a he's a he's a bee...

010tsxcbp 03-23-2011 02:55 PM

I can see yellow calipers on a gray body, but yellow on black just seems to clash too much. I wouldn't say much if you had a BBK.

He did do the front, Look at the last photo. Looks like the front to me.
