Taking one of the rims to the shop tomorrow so they can start working on it. Want to see how it comes out before I send the rest over.

Since they turned out to be so cheap to fix, I think I can juggle both now.

Any suggestions on which color to paint them?!

My first choice was red since it will clash well with CBP, but I'm open to your thoughts......

Wait - weren't they ripped to begin with ?

I've returned lots of stuff years later LLBean in a prime example of a "no questions asked" return policy for as long as you own the product. The stuff I returned had broken zippers but 5 years down the road.

I'm conservative, I'd just do a nice silver.

I really like the color they are now, but I know that black-chrome dipping won't be cheap.

She just told me today she doesn't want it anymore.... thank god because I was going to order it online tomorrow.

So the wheels should be done sooner than I thought.

ceb - That's actually a pretty neat color. I may add that to my list of possibilities!!

So it turns out that $150 does include paint as well... so I need to decide on a color..... like NOW!

Anyone care to photshop the wheels onto a CBP TSX in red, gold, gunmetal, white, bronze etc. ALL COLORS. LOL

Use this picture

from the look of the original pics, the look to be chrome, you can see the cracks in the chrome (although I could be wrong)

If so, they will need to be stripped so there's an extra $150 at least to strip them

unless it's like a chrome look powder or something

What's crazy is that each wheel was curbed on different days, on his way home from the club... most likely drunk.

I was driving behind him when he curbed one of the rear wheels... he was taking a right turn and came too close to the curb.

I went today to tour the wheel place to see some of their guys at work and witness which machines do what...place is pretty sick. Now I just need to finalize my color choice, which is the hardest part.

Old guy chiming in again - but I spent years as a photographer so I understand lighting. This is more of an issue with a dark car. Your color choice is too dark and they disappear between the car, the wheel well and the tire. Go too colorful (red for example) and all you see is the color.

I think you are left with a chrome (to match the door handles and trim - but that doesn't work well with refinished wheels), a silver, a dark (diamond) silver or a gray.

Here is the Karthoum that I had on my R32

Diamant Silber

and in "normal" silver

and the diamant silber on a GTI

let me break this down for you bro

silver - classy

gunmetal - stealthy

bronze - slightly bold, a bit race car

mag blue - subtle, looks good in day light. night time looks black

black - looks good in pictures, in day light only when its clean. too dark = lose details = you look like you have sht/rep wheels

red - you are a hard core racer with a 500hp rwd/awd car that can smoke anyone.

purple - ttk

yellow - modesto

everything else - gay

white - tsxkid gay

if you can't make the damier happen, then my vote is for ttk purple.
maybe someone could shop his rims on yours.

another alternative would be to see if they could either not paint them right away or not at all, and you could plastidip them. that way you could try out some different color combos without having to pick one sight unseen.

Not really diggin purple... ttk's wheels look baller & he's brave for pulling that off but I think I'll feel a bit :ghey: with purple wheels on my car.

Keep the wheels, refinish them to gunmetal with gold flakes
Keep your ambers in your headlights
Get custom volk racing vinyls made in metallic gold/bronze
Do your calipers in bronze

Unique theme acquired

i like the gunmetal with the red sticker or maybe a white sticker.

volks gunmetal is a awesome color.

almost black chrome.

those stickers are gonna cost more than what you paid for the wheels. lol

gunmetal volks, custom gold/bronze stickers instead of red. It will look sick with the headlights and rest of the car. Then get the rdx caliper covers for maximum swag

I love Volk's Formula Silver if you can get anyone to replicate that. Not gunmetal dark, but more of a silver gray with a hint of a polished finish.

Some good pics of the finish here: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...Formula-Silver

^That color is pretty bad ass!!

I wonder how it'll look on the TSX.. maybe I'll tint the white on my taillights as well.
Hmmmm...

I just feel like gunmetal would be too plain.. mag blue would be different and sexy (lol).

But we'll see what I end up with... it'll be a surprise.
