About to decide on some rims!

I decided that instead of going up a size, to 18s, I am just going to stay at 17 inch. Mostly because I just got new tires and I can just put those on my new rims..

I found a place that said they can use my old sensors and balance the new setup for $180. Is that a decent deal?

I want to see what you guys think about these rims..

They seem decent. They are fairly light and have some decent reviews. I am just worried about the stories people tell me of their rims cracking in cold weather, or on mild curb checks.

If these are no good, can someone shoot me some suggestions for a set of rims for 6-800 that are a good value and fairly reliable?

Thank you!

They look nice! I like the clean design. I know you want black but if they come in graphite it may look better on white, but I'm not into black wheels much.

Post a link to the listing so that members here can read through it and look into the details better and see if they spot something that may have been overlooked.

With no knowledge, I like how they look. But IMO rims depend on the car/color/etc.

What will you be putting these on?

On a pearl white 2014 TSX

I don't know much about the manufacturer, I'm sure others chime in.. But I do like the look and design..

Did you finally buy some tires that aren't trying to kill you?

You'll regret 17's when you get them.

He just got 17" tires. I'm sure he'll upgrade to 19's with Michelin's in a year ir two.

17's look so small on this car. 7.5+45 is going to look probably extremely "ordinary". But...since you're re-using stock sized tyres...a wider or taller size rim won't work.

To answer your question(s), though, $180 is a complete ripoff.

Costco usually does this for like $50 for the install + the sensor rebuild kits (IIRC). Rebuilds should be about $10 for all 4.

Yes...the membership costs $55.

But $55+60 = 110.

Still cheaper than you were quoted. And they do a nitrogen fill. And you get cheap gas and groceries.

Check it out guys! Just got these put on today. The sensors were transfer'd to the new wheel no problem! They are much lighter than the stock.. Well at least by 5 lbs are so. How much do Acura stock wheels cost again?

How much do you think I could sell the stock rims for? I know that name brand is pretty expensive. But these have a few chips on the corner so I am sure that lowers the value a little..

What do you guys think? And to above post, yeah, I know. I wish I could have afforded 18's and new tires but considering that, I am pretty happy with these!!

WOW! Looks great, really liking it. Black wheels make it look dropped. Dig the tire shine!

Matt Lumpkins 01-24-2019 01:43 AM

yeah i guess it does kind of look dropped huh?

thanks. i really like them.

BROlando 01-24-2019 04:16 PM

Looks good! Like an OEM+ setup. fitment looks surprisingly nice.

Used stock wheels in good condition are probably worth between $200 and 300

Thanks man. I better lower my price on the ad then haha.
