19-inch Acura OEM Wheels

Hi all,

First time post. I am thinking of purchasing 19 inch acura oem wheels to put onto my 2010 tsx. The specs on the wheels are:
  • bolt pattern: 5 x 114.3
  • width: 8
  • diameter: 19
  • offset: 45
Would these wheels fit into my car? And after installation, would the tire pressure sensors adapt to the new wheels? Thanks for your help!!

245/40/19 vs. 245/35/19:

Which tire size is better for 19" rims? Pros & cons of each? I'm really lost as to which size would be better.

Stick with 245/35/19 as that is the closest in size compare to our stock 225/50/17. A difference 0.39% in diameter. The 40 series tire will have a difference of 3.22% in diameter.

If you want a bit more cushion/comfort, then consider 235/40/19, the difference in diameter is 2.09% but the sidewall height will be 3.70" compare to 3.37" on the 245/35/19 tire.

I can answer your question about the TPMS. The TPMS system will not adapt to the new system because they need to re-learn the new threshold value for the 19's (which would be higher than your stock 17's). I'm not sure what the recommended tire pressure is for 19's since I've got 18's but if you bring it the dealer they can re-train your sensors to the new threshold.

Fit is perfect (RDX offset is perfect)... I recently had them installed on my car and wrapped with 245/35/19 (Hankook EVO V12). I will post pics later, just waiting on getting my springs installed (TEIN's) this weekend.

TPMS: I went with 42753-TL2-A52 for 2010 TSX
FYI: These RDX 19" wheels weighed 28.8 lbs each & the tires weighed 24 lbs each.

A bit heavy but they look really good and have had many compliments already.
MPG change? Still monitoring, but it may look to be 1 to 2 MPG loss due to wider tires @245.
Does it really matter?...NAH... i dont think you will even notice it. I had put in a K&N drop in filter to make up for the so called MPG loss.
Comfort: Of course you will feel the road more on a 35 series.
Handling: Much better, and once dropped, i am sure it will be more than much better.
Camber Kit: No plans, I see no need for it once lowered 1.6F & 1.4R (up to 2")
Alignment: Will do after a week or two once lowered (Toe) * a must do
Rubbing: No reports of rubbing with these wheels/tire size combo for now when lowered. (i hope not)

I'm not aware what you guys are talking about with the TPMS

In my 19x8 wrapped in 245/35/19.. on all 4 wheels I use the Stock TPMS and it is with in 1psi of accuracy of the actual PSI.

I am unaware why a tpms wouldn't work in a different rim, however Im sure you will explain it.

Whatever the reason, does not apply to our vehicles and 19 inch rim.

I even took the rims off for the winter and put the stock wheels on for about 4 months. Then when I put the rims with the TPMS back on 4 months later, the system picked up on it instantly with out any alterations to the system.

with 245/35/19 it will look weird because it is smaller diameter than stock. You will increase your wheel gap. There is a ton of room in those wheel wells.

I have 245/40/19

speaking of which I recently curbed one of my wheels at the gas station. It has a 2 inch scratch on it that is only a paint scratch, no metal damage.

I am selling it for cheap if someone wants to buy it.

I can send pics if interested.
