19" HFP Wheels

So I saw these wheels and was intrigued by them (especially since the bolt pattern would fit the TSX). The price isn't too bad either...imo.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/19-Honda-HFP...-/171095186083

What do you all think? I have a 2011 GLM TSX and I think these wheels may look good.

I saw these pictures where a guy did it to his Grigio TSX and the wheel color looks to be an almost match:

Would upgrading to 19" wheels and tires require me to do anything to the suspension, or should it be okay if I want to leave it as stock height?

Thanks.

Dude, awesome! How is the ride quality and handling now (stock vs before you lower it today)?

The offset on these is +55 so you will be fine if you throw them on at stock height.

That Ebay listing is for a knock off of the Honda HFP wheels, not the actual factory Honda wheels. The description says it's "HFP Style" and is an aftermarket replacement. First picture in the series looks like a real Honda HFP wheel that is lighter and more polished than the subsequent pics that show a much darker gray colored wheel. If you ask the seller, he will admit that it's not the real wheel, but built to factory specs. Of course it's cheaper than buying the real HFP wheels. Ebay listings for the real wheel is around $1000. Buyer beware...look at threads on here with the real HFP wheels and you can see the distinctive color and finish differences from this imitation. The wheels are also very heavy-these and the factory versions-and you won't get the benefit of more unsprung weight, which gives you better performance. They will hold up better to damage driving through potholes.

Thanks. I didn't notice that. I found some for around $1000, like you said, and I found these (100 miles away from where I live) for about $900. They are the real deal.http://www.ebay.com/itm/19-10-SPOKE-GRAY-GENUINE-HONDA-HFP-ALLOY-WHEELS-NEW-/260358981404?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item3c9e9ac71c&vxp=mtr

The ride is awesome. I think it rides better honestly. Tires help too hancook evo ventus v12. You will corner like a champ and they handle amazing in heavy rain going at highway speeds. Get those and throw on the 08 and below TSX emblems from the factory wheel instead of the Honda ones. You will continue to use your original tpms censors. Also, Honda just released some new HFP 19" for the new 2013 accord and those are very nice as well.

I will have my car back lowered tomorrow and will let everyone know how they fit lowered and how the ride is.

By the way, amazon has a set for $900 I believe. I paid 1,700 with tax for my wheels and tires at my Honda dealership.

Wow, I'm surprised that the dealership was actually reasonably priced.

My upgraded ride. H&R sport lowering springs. Dropped the car about 1.25", running 19" Accord 1st gen HFP wheels w/ Hancook ventus v12 summer tires. It really can't tell too much of a difference from OEM feel. And no rubbing :-)

You will not have to do anything with suspension just by using 19's, but I can attest that the car looks a bit weird if you don't. The smaller the sidewall, the bigger the wheel gap appears. If you look in my thread that you can link to in my signature, you'll see my wagon before and after. Also, if I were running those wheels full time, I would install 10-15mm spacers up front. Rears need an extra 10mm if you want them as flush as the front but will then likely need fender rolling if lowered.

What he said ^^

Anything with a smaller sidewall than the stock 17s looks ridiculous without a drop, especially 19s. To take it a step further, any aftermarket rims you put on won't look right at stock right height. Drop it first, then get the rims.
