VSA Module
2009 TSX MT USA owner, 80K miles. I've had the warning light to check VSA ABS on my dash on/off (mostly on) for the last 2-3years. Dealer advised me that the VSA module needs to replaced to remedy that. I've not noticed any driving or braking problems. ABS worked when I had to panic stop. Replacing the unit is $2-3K new, which is insane. I've looked into used units, but I'm not sure how reliable they are. There's also repair services where you send them the VSA module and they repair it and send it back, which means no car for the duration. Should I replace the unit and which route should I take?
Purchasing used units, do the part numbers have to match exactly, and which numbers/letters should match? They're all over Ebay. Also some are listed for Canada models and also Auto transmissions. Does that matter?
Attached is my VSA unit label showing the various numbers
Thanks in advance....

Get a code reader and read the VSA codes instead of just throwing parts at it

As you already know, the factory unit part number for your 2009 TSX 6MT VSA module is shown below (red arrow):
The 'latest' part number & vehicle fitment for your 2009 TSX 6MT is below (red arrow); therefore, if you want to 'roll the dice' & purchase a good used 'salvage' unit you may as well try to find a newer version, right?
In addition the part number for the TSX automatic transmission model is different from the 6MT part number.
You have four individual 6MT part numbers to search for to increase your odds of finding a suitable replacement; original unit above and the three shown below.
Furthermore, as thoiboi mentions, have the car scanned to find out what codes are currently being stored, you may find out the issue is something that is not very expensive?

i'd get a second opinion.. Dealers aren't exactly the most consumer-friendly when they can sell you 2-3 grand instead.. Did they share what the error code was?
