Interior Navigation Screen Going Dim

Hi,

Hoping someone knows a resolution to this issue.

I am currently driving a 2011 TSX Tech. The car is 2.5 years old.

This past Friday, I went to start my car only to find that my battery was dead. The battery is the original that came with my car. This was due to me sitting in my car during the day and listening to the radio for 60 straight minutes without the engine running. I ended up getting a hot shot to get my car started and I have not had any issues with the car starting since.

While driving this past weekend, I have noticed that when my headlights turn on (they are set to auto) the navigation screen goes dim and stays dim unless I hit the brightness button. The screen will stay at that level of brightness until I turn my car off or switch my headlights off.

The brightness of my navigation screen and dashboard literally go dim if I turn my headlights on. If I turn them off everything is lit up and how it used to always be before this battery issue.

Has anyone ever experienced this issue and know a resolution? Do I have an issue with my battery? Is there possibly a larger issue? I have not called the dealership yet.

Thanks for you help!

-Jeff

Read your instruction manual. Your settings have changed and your nav is dimming into night mode when you turn your lights on.

you see that little knob on the window by your gauges? the one you press to reset the mpg estimator? turn that all the way clockwise. it should brighten your gauges and once that's at full brightness, it won't dim your navi or any of your lights when your headlights turn on.

Thank you so much! That resolved the issue. I guess this was reset when my battery died! Appreciate all the help.
