HELP!!! trouble removing extra resontor peice on v6

ok i read the diy on how to remove the extra piece by the battery. but it looks like its a little different on the v6. when i looked to remove the bolt that holds the pipe, its in a very awkward position to use a wrench to remove it. has anyone come across this same problem? how did u remove it. i tried to cut the extra plastic piece to remove it but no good. im stuck!! please help.

did you take off the bumper? if you did, it should be super easy. PLUS..there's a DIY guide thread STICKIED in the 2G section. There's a thread there with a video. I know the video is for an I4 but I doubt it differs that much from a V6.

Oh yeah it's different. The DIY says I can do it without taking off the bumper and that's for the I4. Just seeing if any one with a v6 removed there resonator tubes and how.

it is physically impossible to remove the resonator box without taking off the bumper. are you using a simple wrench or a ratcheting wrench? i think its impossible with a simple wrench. also if it is the ratcheting kind, have you tried using an extension for the socket on the wrench? i found it easier to use one when removing the bolts because of the plastic semicircle that juts out.

Sorry I didn't mention this earlier but I removed the box already. Now I only have the tube that is by the battery. I read from another member that he had to remove the battery and the tray to get to the bolt. Anyone that has done this wanna help be out on this. I've tried to remove the tray before but couldn't do it so gave up. Is there a bolt somewhere that I'm over looking.

Not sure how to help... I mean, it's just a bunch of bolts. Shine a flashlight in there and look for the bolts. It'd definitely be easier to remove the bumper to do it. I remember I had to reach around from underneath in order to get to that one bolt. Pain in the ass for sure.
