Had to have the front brakes TSB'd...this car is starting to bother me!
SO the past couple of days it was like 90+ degrees, and the brakes were squealing a lot! I thought it was humidity and the heat....but then its cooled to about 80 here and it was squealing every freekin' time I hit the brakes. I took it to the dealer and the heard the noise and did a TSB for front brakes....updated pads....they also put the updated rear pads on the car for me too.
So far the car has been for....
Home link bezel rattle (2x)
Rear parcel creak (3x)
The cover on the rear deck for the baby seat latch (1 time)
Brake squeal (2X ...the first time they said to watch it and if it gets worse, bring it back)
This is a lot of fit/finish/quality control issues from Acura.
My 2001 CL Type S was only in the dealer for routine service.....

I also have an issue with the baby seat latch cover - it does not close all the way. When I had the car in to fix the rear shelf creak, the dealer told me that that's the way it is... uh huh, sure.
The good thing is I'm hardly ever back there. Here's another

No? How about BMW's 335i before they went with a single scroll turbo? People had their cars in the shop for weeks doing all kinds of work because this engine was pretty much garbage including the turbos. They made some modifications to the engine and switched over to a single scroll but it still isn't perfect. The interior on some practically fell apart so if you want that over a rattle then be my guest.
If you own a Jag they say you better have a second car because it'll be in the shop that often. Only thing a Jag is good for is if it ever gets flooded out all you have to do is let it air dry and it'll start right up, thanks to gold plated contacts.
VWs? Don't even get me started. Not a bad car necessarily, but I wouldn't own one. Too many close friends had them and I saw their pain. Most own Honda products now.
You'd be better off with an American car now. GMs meltdown forced them to become competitive and start building decent products and I think they are well on their way.
And lastly, no one brand is perfect. I'd rather have a little rattle that gets drowned out by music than a car that needs the engine rebuilt after you take it for an afternoon stroll. I still believe that Honda has a leading edge over the competition despite the flaws found on the TSX and TL.
It's ok to be angry about these issues but don't be so arrogant to think this car will be perfect.

you know what thats exactly what i did last year traded in my 07 tl-s for a premium plus a4 quattro and after only one year guess what car i'm driving now a 2010 tsx tech, all i can say is before you switch to a different brand go over to there forums and read about there issues and problems before making up your mind. also you can check out audiworld forums and click on the a4 b8 or s4 b8 and you will see some of the issues they are having with their cars.
