actually it is the electronic power steering control module that goes bad.

i called the Acura dealer in NC and they have no such extended warranty for a 2010 Acura TSX.

Three days ago, same thing happened to my 2012 TSX with 83000 miles. Steering wheel super hard to turn, warnings all over the dashboard saying check power steering system. I took it to the dealership yesterday.

Today they call me saying their diagnostics did not see anything wrong with EPS so "come get your car. Bring it back if it happens again. Yes, there's a bulletin out and yes the warrantee has been extended but unless our computers tell us the EPS is faulty, Honda won't fix it for free."

It didn't happen on the drive back home, but I no longer feel safe behind the wheel of the car. I just sent American Honda Motor Company a long e-mail expressing my concerns and frustrations. Hopefully they address them. I like my car but it's almost like they want me to get rid of it
