dealing with dog hair and more

I'm picking up my new TSX Sport Wagon on Friday.: I have two Goldens who will ride in the back occasionally. I will get a cargo tray. But I need a way to protect the sides of the cargo area from dog hair. Any suggestions?

Also, I'd like to know if anyone has used the rear bumper protector? Don't want dog nail scratches on my new car.

I think ppl put bed sheets on the sides. Doesn't look nice but does what you want. And I think the bumper protector is a good idea

I have the rear bumper protector. IMO, if you can get an aftermarket one from a clear-bra installer, do it. The dealer had a rough time installing mine and took them 3 times to finally get it right without any bubbles. Of course it was a 'special order part' only and I had to return when the part arrived. It would defenitely protect your paint but it also scratches as well. So its still a compromise.

Thanks for the info. Does the bumper/paint scratch that easily?
Where do I find a clear bra installer? Body shops?

Ask for a recommendation about a clear bra installer in your regional forum. Body shops are generally to be avoided.

I have a large dog who rides in the back of my wagon. The hair does get all over the back of the cargo area, but the carpet cleans up fairly easy with a vacuum. As for the rear bumper, I just put an old bath towel partially under the lid to the storage bin. When we load my dog up I just flip the towel down and it covers the whole of the bumper in the hatch area. She jumps up an I fold it back flat over the floor of the cargo area. Works great!

Thanks for the tip. Great idea.

Next question: Do you use a barrier. If so, which one? I've read complaints about most of them, so I'm not sure which to get.

No, I don't use one. I suppose I should. If we were to get into an accident, my dog would be a lot of mass flying forward. But the all seem to be a bit ugly, and take some of the flexibly out of the vehicle.

Honda sells some decent ones for the accord tourer but importing them might get expensive.
