Changed my oem clutch and flywheel and misfire and limp mode?!
I drive a 2012 Acura Tsx MT
I got my oem clutch replaced w (McLeod Racing Street Tuner Clutch Kit K20A2/K20Z1 (Type-S) and light weight flywheel ( McLeod Racing Tuner Series Flywheel Honda I-4, K-Series (K20A/Z K24A/Z) instillation went great! about 2 miles down the road the car went right into "limp" mode! the cars check emission and vsa light came on. I had the tech run the codes and they came up as misfire on all 4 cylinders?! I took a look at the crankshaft position sensor and that seems to be fine.
I had my car tuned by Evans tuning in pa in October car ran great till now i used the hondata flashpro.
If anyone has any idea what could be causing this issue please post below
Thanks

The reason you are getting the code is because the stock flywheel normally dampens minor vibration at idle and power-stoke pulses. The alloy wheel does not have as much mass and therefore the idle is ever so slightly more rough. You probably don’t really notice it, but the car’s computer sees it by way of irregular crankshaft speed, which is monitored with the crankshaft speed sensor. This causes the computer to assume there is misfire in the engine and pops the code.
To resolve the code, plug in your Flashpro to “disable misfire codes.” The option is found under the Calibration tab on the main screen. -HeelToe
I will confirm if this solves the issue!

Cool info. Let us know if it fixes it.
Minus the cost of parts, how much did the labor cost you and where did you take it to? Dealer, speed shop, local universal mechanic, driveway job etc. I've read that the clutches on these cars are very time consuming to do which translates to $$$$ at the dealer.

Update on my car the Tune did the trick car is running perfect and feels great!
@TSX1012m6 I work at a Hyundai dealership, me and one of the techs did the Job here at work. took about 3 hours and i paid him $300. i used to work at a Honda dealership and at cost through the dealership they wanted $650! normally if i understand correctly to do this job you have to drop the sub frame which is why it cost so much. We just removed the axles and half shaft along with the motor-mount and work with the space under the lift. helped save a lot of time and money! Im by no means a mechanic but it was fun to do and if your going to do the work just make sure you with someone who knows what they are doing!
Hope this helps!
