A/C clutch not engaging on brand new compressor (2009 TSX)
Hello
My A/C would stop blowing cold air after 5 minutes of driving. Took it to Car-x and they checked for leaks and told me there were no leaks. They said I need a new AC compressor and wanted over 1000$ for the work.
I found a new one and took it to my mechanic to have it replaced. New dryer, expansion valve, freon, compressor. Got home after driving 10 minutes and... clutch is once more not engaging.
Car-x told me that the relay should be fine because the computer is sending the request to engage. As I activate or deactivate the AC on my dash, the radiator fans turn on and off accordingly.
Mechanic flushed everything out that was old and refilled everything. I am baffled. Some people talk about the spacers and removing one of them or what not but why would that be an issue on a brand new radiator?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Drove from autozone home and the AC is working flawlessly with the new relay. Have not driven it enough to be 100% certain but when I left my house it was not working at all.
Not sure if i should be excited it might just be the relay or angry im out nearly 700$
I guess I should not have trusted a nationwide authorised car repair shop

To be fair im still not 100%. Can I hotswap fuses? I was thinking of putting the old fuse back in, and then wait until it goes out and while the car is running with the AC on I pop the new one back on

i definitely did not hear the click with the old relay. I do hear a considerably audible click now so what i might do tomorrow morning is take it to my mechanic and see if they can test the old one out. i do not have the appropriate tools to follow the video instructions.

Dude it's a relay, you could not have been out more than $20 bucks for it.. You just spent $700 unnecessarily, what's $20 in the grand scheme of things
