2011 TSX - Rough idle when stopped
I have a 2011 TSX 4 cyl auto that is about 2 months old and has ~2,500 miles. I have noticed a rough idle recently, especially when stopped at a traffic light. Is this normal? I traded a 2008 TL for the TSX and it had a much smoother idle, but wasn't sure if it's a difference between the 6 cylinder and 4 cylinder. I will be taking it into the dealer at some point, but was wondering if anyone else has had an issue with this. Other than this I have had a few other issues:
- Squeak in drivers seat back
- Clunking sound when stopping when the temperature is above 70 degrees.
- Noise from the rear when stopping.
- Auto headlights turning on and off constantly when driving on shaded roads, even in the minimum sensitivity setting.
Hoping I can get these resolved. I do like the TSX so far and find it more fun to drive than the TL (not that I didn't like the TL though).

WTH happened to my garage
IMHO, it's a characteristic of the I4 with an A/T. I've noticed in in many Hondas, but I expect I'll meet with some pushback about that comment from other owners.
In the MT, it's hard to tell it's running when idling in neutral.

Everyday I'm rofling
I have a 2011 V6 and my idle hasn't ever seemed rough. I came from a 96 firebird, so any new car is going to be smoother than that ever was.
I did have the clunking at slow speeds though a few months ago when it was hot. Once the first cold front came in it stopped, even though temps got up to 90 after it. hasn't happened again since. Crossing my fingers I wont have to deal with it again next summer. Another member was having the same problem in this thread:

2011 TSX automatic.
No rough idle for me. I can occasionally feel the A/C compressor go on and off, but thats just a characteristic of a four cylinder economy sedan.
I can feel your pain about the auto-headlights. I love most things about this car so far (one of the best values out there!) but the auto headlights are RIDICULOUSLY sensitive, no matter what setting you use. I mean it's CRAZY how they can turn off and on in the space of 5 seconds of shade or no shade.

If i remember correctly, I created a thread about this a while back. When my 2010 A/T was new. Now I have just over 15k miles. the vibration has not gotten better or worse. This leads me to believe it very well may be the way Honda I-4 cars are.
This is something that is always pronounced when Im driving, mainly because I spend most of my commute in stop and go traffic (takes anywhere from 40-50 minutes to travel 10-12 miles). The car is idling most of the time, so I am very in-tune to what the car is doing. I advised my dealer and they said it is normal, that’s how i-4 auto trans hondas work.
What really annoys me is that my younger sister’s 2011 GTI is as smooth as a V6 when idling (literally no vibration in the steering wheel). My older sister’s 2004 altima 2.5 also has much less vibration than my car. I am coming from a V6 camry.
Anyways, just chiming in, glad to hear it’s not just me.
