2009 Acura TSX Poor XM Signal
My 2009 Acura TSX had poor XM signal strength - if I drove in a wooded area, or if the elevation was lower, my XM radio would keep cutting in and out with static. I knew it was on my end, because it consistently did it in the same roads. I mentioned it to my dealer and of course they said "its normal if there are trees around". I knew this was BS because my previous car (2006 Acura TL) never suffered with this issue on the same roads. I took the problem into my own hands and replaced the XM antenna. (Part #6 https://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray...All&vinsrch=no).
Replacing the antenna involved removing the rear dome light, and then pulling the headliner down a bit. It was a PITA doing it this way without removing the headliner, but I was able to stick my hands in between the roof and headliner.
Just thought I'd share this with others if they have this frustrating issue! My XM is no longer embarrassing to listen to with others in the car, and I no longer get frustrated with it cutting in and out frequently!

Did changing it make a big difference? I noticed this problem in a lot of cars. XM is mostly useless if i can't even use it around trees.

It made a massive difference. It doesn't cut out once, where as before it cut out at least two times before I even left the neighborhood.
