'12 TSX hard to fold in mirrors

Not sure if it's just because it's a new car or what but it's pretty hard to fold in either of the mirrors and I'm almost afraid it's going to break.

Also whenever the mirror is folded in on the driver side I've noticed I lose my mirror setting and have to adjust it again.. not sure if it's just because of the way I'm folding my mirror or what but does anyone else have similar issues?

I have an '09 and have no issues at all with folding the mirrors in. Your parts are brand spanking new, so they will eventually "break in".

Yes, I CONSTANTLY need to adjust my driver's side mirror and it doesn't seem to be held in place very well.

i have a 12 wagon. they are hard to push in. i find solid 2 hands slowly. over thime they will get easier.

i dont seem to mess up my settings unless i touch the glass part when folding them in.

2012 TSX Wagon here, and yes, the mirrors offer up some resistance. Like robpp wrote, I use 2 hands slowly.

On occasion, I need to adjust the mirrors after folding them and unfolding them. The force seems to bounce the mirrors a bit.

Did anyone notice that the manual recommends that the mirrors be folded in when going through an automatic car wash? Older cars I drove never made that recommendation, but I'm guessing for the TSX, it's to protect the electronics in the mirrors.

when folding in, try to do it at a slight angle up, it may be easier for you. also remember that the mirrors fold the other way as well. the mirror can get messed up if you accidentally hit the mirror or push it, beside that, i've been ok

don't ever take your car to an automatic car wash. it's death to the car's paint and swirl city afterwards.

Thanks for the tip, but I have no choice in the winter time. I need to rinse out the salt and sand and crud from the undercarriage. For what it's worth, the car wash I use is "brushless."

I noticed that when I first got the the car the mirrors were hard to fold inwards, but after doing it for a while it's easier, and I have not had to redo my adjustments yet.
