Your car is so in need of the front sport bumper. If I make it up to Canada next summer, you can try to convince me to sell you mine. Promise both my kids a road trip to Niagara & Toronto.

Hey I tried didn't I!
haha I'd definitely be interested if the price is right let me know when you come by and maybe we can grab a beer when you're in Toronto. Although I doubt your kids would wanna have one, though. It would be a shame to repaint your beautiful bumper though .
I like to think so too

Yeah, I will give you first dibs on it when the time comes! I was looking to get it repainted due to the daily use road nix & chips. The price they quoted me, I may as well buy a new bumper. I may put my original bumper back on as soon as I find a cheap beater to drive to work. Or If I transfer to a different work location that keeps me on better roads. My original is pretty much prepped to go > https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...l-swap-961900/
If things does work out that you can have it. You will need to get these few items below. Since I will be keeping them for the next new bumper. These are parts from the 09-10 models due to the different oem bumper. The only part that can be use from the 12 on up bumper is the Center Induction Plate.
71104-TL0-G00 Plate, R. Induction $15.59
71109-TL0-G00 Plate, L. Induction $15.59
71106-TL0-G00 Plate A, Induction $38.95
93903-25420 Screw, Tapping (5X20) $0.29 x8
90305-SH3-000 Nut, Air Spoiler Clip $3.62 x5
I did not price the fog lights since there are aftermarket solutions available from $66.00 on up.
04390-TL0-306 Light Assy,R FR Fog
04395-TL0-306 Light Assy,L FR Fog
90113-SJA-A00 Screw, Tapping (5X14) $1.63 x6

I forget to mention you will need the front grille from the 09-10 North American model or rest of the world model. But the best would be the Front Sports Grille 08F21-TL0-0G1 "JDM White Orchid Pearl NH-624P" $279.49. European 08F21-TL0- 611A Front Sports Grille PREMIUM WHITE PEARL NH-624P

So, a dodged a huge bullet yesterday...
I was (thankfully/luckily) stopped in stop and go traffic on the highway, when all of a sudden my car started rolling. I had to pull the e-brake to keep the car from rolling. Once the car in front of me got a decent bit of distance, I accelerated a little bit and tried out the brakes. Pedal feeling was near non-existent. Fuck, I'm probably leaking brake fluid. So I press the pedal down to basically the floor, and the car does slow down. However, I noticed the car pulls to the right when I do this. So, I'm guessing either my driver side line is busted, or the caliper is leaking. I suspect the latter because I have RL calipers installed, and I'm still using the OEM 2013 TSX rubber lines.
I was probably dumb for doing this, but I put on my hazards, took the next exit, and found a small street to stop the car to wait for a tow. I probably should've pulled over onto the shoulder instead. I wasn't thinking straight, as I've never had an issue with my car other than a dead battery in winter. This was the most stressful short drive of my life. I had to maneuver the e-brake, use engine braking, and pray that a car wouldn't check me.
All that aside, I consider myself extremely lucky. If I had found out about the brakes being shot while going 100km/h, more than likely I would've rear ended someone, or pulled off onto the shoulder and who knows what I might've scraped/hit. Maybe I could've died.
This is actually shitty timing for me, because I'm getting hitched the following Sunday lol. Of course we still have a lot of wedding related errands to run, and since I don't have a clue what's actually wrong yet, I'm not even sure when I'll be getting the car back. But, at least I'm alive!

It's probably the brake fluid that's leaking out of the broken line.

Haha, I certainly hope not. Can't get rid of me that easily!
Mechanic told me the seal where the hardline connects to the top of the caliper has gone bad. He replaced it, bled the system, and test drove it. Said it's all good. I hope he's right lol. Would you guys advise I slam the brakes on an empty road to test the new seal?

Yeah I wiped it off. There's a tiny bit of a change in colour on parts of my wheel, but it isn't much and 90% of it the brake fluid didn't leave a mark. oh well, not really noticeable to anyone but me I guess...

Sad to see you go Gary. But we all have to make changes as we grow! I did my addition back in 2017, I have no plans in letting my V6 TSX go. I hope next winter will be the last time I drive it on salted roads. Winter is not so bad here in north Georgia, but any salt is bad. Sometime next year I plan to overhaul the suspension. I also plan on replacing all worn interior bits, grab handles & driver seat upper & lower foam. Anyway good luck with the bimmer! As for my addition, here it is next to the TSX. It is a VFII Holden Commodore sold in the States as Chevy SS. This model I have sports an LS3 6.2L with a 6sp manual Tremec tr6060 transmission. It delivers 415 ponies and 415 lb-ft of torque to the rear tires. As you can see it has been rebadge back to Holden. It is #963 of 4008 built, #35 of 125 as option with this color, sun roof & full size spare tire.

To be honest, Toronto weather has been really random these past few weeks. It gave hope to spring-like weather one week, then it dropped like 2 inches of snow+slush the next. Unfortunately, I picked up the M2 last month in March, so I took a gamble and decided to keep the Michelin PSS summer tires on and take it easy on the roads until it warms up. Welp, that day with the 2 inches of snow+slush was actually a bit of a surprise as it wasn't even forecasted, and I had to drive back home from the suburbs in that weather. If I had to do that again, I wouldn't. Should've just left my car wherever it was and took an Uber/cab home. It took me the whole duration of a traffic light to make a left turn because I was stopped at a really slight incline. Wasn't so bad when I got onto the freeway since other cars have left a bit of a trail. Still, it was a pretty stressful drive home. BMW does have a really TCS, though, so that was incredibly helpful.
Anyway when winter comes along next year, I'll be ready with winter tires. The M2's front bumper does sit quite a bit lower than the TSX, stock-for-stock, so I'm a bit worried about uncleared paths as I plan to install a set of Ohlins on the M2 at some point. I don't think the car will be lowered much based on their recommended specs, but definitely a bit worried about that lol.
- TSX rear fenders are showing signs of rust, because of the poorly done fender roll. I tried to mitigate the issue by having a shop sand it all away and apply new primer+paint+clear, but like they say, it's a cancer and just comes back. I wasn't interested in doing metal work on the fenders, as even that has potential for rust to come back.
- New job with more pay.
- Size must be equivalent or smaller than the TSX (fun fact... the rear seats in the M2 are roomier than the TSX, even though the car as a whole is shorter in height and length).
- Must offer a manual transmission (yes, I got the 6MT!)
- Must be fun to drive (RWD is a big part of this point haha)
- Must be a car that makes me "break my neck" whenever I see one on the road today.

That SS looks WILD! That LS mated to a manual gearbox must scream when you put it down. Completely stock? Have you taken this thing out to the track before? I'd like to hear more (and this thread is totally fine for that haha).

Hey man, yeah you and me both to be honest! A few reasons led to the change:
Thank you for the kind words! I'm sad to be leaving the Acura(zine) family, but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up in one again. The TSX was a phenomenal car in terms of how sharp it looked, it fun it was to drive considering its main intentions, and how reliable and cheap it was to maintain (did all the maintenance work myself, aside from the airbag recall). Honestly only time will tell with the BMW, but at least it's a real M car.

If I had to get back into a Honda, it'd have to be that S2000 I've always wanted. They're going for north of $30K for a "presumably unmolested" one here in Canada, and for that price I felt the M2 made more sense. That and, I still have rear seats if I ever need them . I hope that AP2s in the next 5-10 years either depreciate in value, or at the very least stay the same.

It is completely stock in the powertrain & suspension department. The exterior & interior has been updated with OEM parts & accessories I got from Australia. I got all the black trims to replace all the chrome ones. The rear spoiler is from the HSV division Clubsport R8 Gen-F model. I don't have any plans to track it or do any other mods to it. Every publication says it will be a collector car, so I'm not going to mess with it. But it is a blast to drive, especially when you put it into track mode. Feels good getting the ass end to step out at times. I normally drive it in performance mode which is just below track. The other two modes touring & sport I hardly ever use. Sometime during the next 12 months I'm going to try & get a set of OEM black 19" wheels from down under. They look awesome on the color of my car as seen below.
As for your BMW, they are very hi quality in fit & finish. Performance is top notch, but maintenance can be a monster. Just watch out for the dealership. They expect a boat every time you show up in the service dept. That being said, enjoy your BMW M2 and be happy with it. I think you made a good choice! There is nothing Acura has that excites the soul in driving & visual appeal. Yeah maybe the NSX, but not many of us can afford it. The rest of the line up is just bland and boring. This TLX PMC only has a color and being hand built going for it. Thank goodness they are only making 360 of them. Because at a starting price of 50K for what seem to be no performance gain, that's going to be a tough one. I'm hoping by the next 2 years they make the MDX a proper 3 row SUV. By then I'll be looking to replace my wife's Acadia. If not, I will do the same as you and go German with a Mercedes GLS.

I really hope what you're teasing is not the so-called TLX PMC, because if what I'm reading is accurate, the car is a complete and utter disappointment as it's STILL running on the same J-series engine, with exclusive paint and a dumb PMC X/360 units badge. No one's going to pay $50K USD for this Honda IMO.
