Custom painted by a local wheel painter. they are varrstoen 2.2.2. And YES I think purple would look amazing on CBP too! do it!

I'll have to live vicariously through guys like you who are doing their cars right since I'm pretty much done with mine...I would have liked to drop it more and flush it out more but it's gotta double as a kid-hauler for now

Next on the list is 15mm spacer for the rear. Think I wanna go with Akata spacers..Anybody know if I need extended studs for a 15mm spacer on our CU2s? Or how about those spacers with the studs built into it like this

try tinyurl.com

Hey Tommy...I know plenty about spacers.
for 10MM and under, you want to go with version 1 with extended studs
for 15MM and up, I'd suggest going with version 2's like the one you pictures. Those bolt right on. Just make sure your wheels have empty space behind where the lugs will poke through. (on my fiancee's 8th gen the 15MM spacer wasn't thick enough to totally hide the stud and her oem wheels don't have empty space between the lug holes).

Torque to spec too (80 ft/lb) not more. Akata is affiliated with Vossen wheels...I'm running them with zero issues.

^ thanks a lot for that info..it really helps. I read your review on Akata spacers which is why I want to try them. Im not too sure what you mean about empty space behind the lugs but Im sure it will become clear once I have the spacer in my hand installing it. Thanks!

he means empty space (pockets) on the backside of your rims. the studs are longer then your 15mm spacers, so you cant put your rims on.
I got this problem even with my 20mm Vers 2, and my studs were to long so I take a saw (Flex) and cutted them.LOL

^^^that's right, sir...that's exactly what I meant.
TTK, you'll be fine though...your wheels are aftermarket, there are very few aftermarket wheels that are not hollow or have a pocket. Even my aspecs had the space.

J.

Glad it came in handy!

If you're wheels were black, the roof and mirrors would look awesome. But I'm just not feeling it. White roof and mirrors >

Maybe blacking out the grill will complete the look.

I do think the purple does throw it off for me.

Wow I really appreciate the feedback guys. I think i'll be taking off the black side mirrors now because I wasn't 100% on them either. And for the grille, as much as I am trying to get my hands on a Honda grille, this Acura one has really grown on me so I don't think I would be so upset if I never got a Honda one.

Here are some pics of my car when it was filthy the other week...I drove through this dusty ass parking lot and my wheels were like black.
I appreciate all the feedback, good and bad. Thanks all.

Nice updates hombre,
I don't mind the plastidip sideview mirrors either for some reason. My only thing is that the sideviews are matte/flat black and the roof is glossy.

My led switchbacks were advertised as 6000K, so I changed my stock HID bulbs to 6000K. As you can see the color does not match
The pictures make my turn signals look bluer than they are though. I really wish I bought the 5000K switchbacks now but I couldnt find any place that had them in stock.

Nice tape job!But you forgot the mirrors and side pillars!!!. I would tell you to go ahead and get the bra from acura but part of it flys off sometimes when you're cruising at high speeds :/

Thanks. And you know what I had the same idea too, since my 2012 TSX has similar winglets. I wondered how it would look if i painted them black. I hope your able to pull it off though, it might look amazing.

I know man. She insisted on doing the whole thing and it took her like 1-2 hours. Way too neat for my liking haha

Awesome pictures! Car looks amazing.

I dont really mind the black side mirrors, but I do think they should be gloss to match the roof. The grille might look good too if it were gloss black.
