Pictawrs

Got up early for a drive this morning. Blue taped her up/planned my route...would go out along Rt. 127...along the water.

Decided to take some pics first, though. Stopped by my school...in the middle of summer. Oh welp. The scenery's really nice, methinks.

Here goes.

I like this angle

Blue beaked!

Favorite shot of the day

And...yeah. One of these ones again

Random FL sticker I threw on. This is what the tape looked like at the end of the drive...very messy. Some chunks blew off.

Taken with my shitty p&s. I've never shot the TSX before, though, so...I figured I would.

Enjoy!

I tape it up when I go on long trips to protect from excessive bugs and rock chips.

Are you a type of guy who also have sofa in the living room at front of the tv perfectly protected?! This is stupid... You keep car in perfect shape for next owner or what?!

No, lol. I don't tape my car up every time I drive it.

I deliberately got up at 5am and drove for 2 hours on an interstate before getting off and driving a coastal road for an hour and a half...I wasn't running to the supermarket lol.

The amount of bugs/rock chips that accumulate on the front is pretty surprising. The tape makes it easier to remove.

I would've taped up the whole front end, but only had 1/4 roll...used most of it up last time I took a little road trip.

why not get a clear bra installed? Next time you tape up the front, take a pic and post.

I can see maybe using tape for like a cross country drive, but not a couple hours.

I drive back and forth a few hours worth frequently for work and my car's been fine. The hassle of washing the bugs off is less of a hassle than applying and removing tape.

Might as well tape up your whole car. That way you'll never have to wash it again. Just peel off and replace the tape that's dirty.

BINGO.

BINGO.

A BMW owner vinyl-ed his whole car a flat black for looks.
IIRC, he took like a week to do his whole car perfectly, without any experience.
I'm sure this could apply for road trips and this situation. you could change the color of your car, and protect it from bugs and other earth elements.

When you're not feeling the color any more or too many bugs on the front, simply take the vinyl off.

I live in Colorado. Took a road trip through Colorado, Utah, and Arizona and came back like that. It's all clean now, though.

Autoglym.

One other thing, painter's tape prevents from rock chips as well, which is a big pain on my car on long road trips.

It was probably 4 total hours of driving.

Which isn't that long, but the respective parts that were taped had some buggage/couple of rock nicks. So I'm satisfied.

Plus the looks you get are hilarious.

Next time you should use a different color tape or mix tape colors.

You know...liven it up some more.

I agree it can be a good idea for long trips. But a few hours worth of driving doesn't constitute as a "long trip" in my book.

Nice shots. I drove 127 today and took pictures too, so that's ironic.
