Well thats my dream garage Right there.
I happen to be a very big GT-R fan. A guy I'm in school with bought one and I took it for a little spin. That car does not disapoint. The raw power is amazing. Congrats and have fun with it!!!
just don't use the launch control

Three Wheelin'
Nice MMC ... very nice ...
Random question: where do you store all your stuff? My garage is pretty organized, but with two cars is pretty jammed packed...you rent storage?

Yep. But for the next model year, Nissan might remove that feature from the GT-R. So 2009's will sorta special I guess... being the only ones with Launch Control. Still a sweet ride though.

ya but it doesnt happen to everybody...but still who would want to take that risk with their car anyways...dont get me wrong...its still probably one of the most brilliantly engineered cars in history...it made a mark in the history of supercars and i think that supercedes its flaw...its a revolutionary car...if i had 75k'ish to spare id buy one in a heartbeat

I love Godizilla, but Vette has history.

I would rather get a Z06. 0 - 60 in 3.8 secs compared to http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/24/n...m-launch-cont/

Because they read it on the internet!
3 broken tranny's out of 2500 and the guys at some point in the car's history beat the hell out of it.. My opinion is during their flogging sessions, the transmission temps were too high causing damage and eventual failure.

My roots are really in drag racing, but my new hobby is road tracks where the GT-R holds a nice advantage.
Plenty of guys are showing low 11sec 1/4 runs in the GT-R without launch control (and simple mods like exhaust and tune) and there is even a 10.8 guy already. I've been launching cars for years at drag strips without electronics or mechanical assist - and I'll do the GT-R just the same.
