You're not supposed to read the rest of the plate. It would be like someone pointing at your car and saying "This!" As in "This thing is sweeeeeet". I dont know....it's not that cool.

Be prepared to wait forever for a good one to pop up. Although it is probably easier to get something good in a less populated state like Ohio.

Lol, I kind of get it. I think it's a little confusing though since I have the tendency to also read the rest of the plate along with it. It works if you're showing your car to someone though.

Decided to wire a switch to my reverse lights so I could flip them on and off whenever I want. Why not. I also found a better place for my independent fog switch rather than dangling by my feet.

I looked into that a while back. The ones that would fit in there and not look like garbage were $20 minimum. I didn't think that was reasonable so I passed on it.

how come you don't put the switches where your 2 dead buttons are next to VSA? I used 1 of them for my blinder switch

Didn't want to pay $20/switch or put mine in there and have it look ghetto. I'm looking for cheaper switches now though but not in a huge hurry.

Freggin Ryan. stole my idea lol.
I was gonna put my switches in the blanks next to the VSA button, but there's a shitload of crap on the back of the cover so that idea was shot :\

I was inspired by Simon's cool night shots so I spent a few minutes outside tonight. I think it's decent.

Ryan, have you thought about making a panel for the switches to make clean it up a bit? I made this for now, and it does the job. Probably gonna end up wrapping it with cf or painting it black when I'm done with trimming, wiring, and adding a push switch and LED's to it

That's a good idea. Where are you going to put that? I'd like to get a push button for my reverse lights because right now it's tedious to rock back and forth.

It's these. I found them on the 3G forum and they are a really nice 5k white with no blue tint. They were too bright when I installed them so I soldered in my own resistor to dim them down. Check the seller's other listing he has sets of 5 or more.

Same place as you did. I had to cut a section from the top left corner for it to fit properly though. That pic was before I went outside to test fit it

Not a very big update, but it's something. I finally got around to installing the Triton V3 switchback turn signals I bought from robpp. These things are fantastic. The tower LEDs I had in before were nothing compared to the brightness of the Tritons. They are completely plug and play and don't need resistors. The white wire is for tapping into the HID headlight wire to dim them when the headlights come on. They're too bright at full power to be used at night.

Nice. If I had cleared my headlights, I would've gone VLEDs as well. But the amber is growing on me so I'm likely going to keep them the way they are lol

Too bright at night? No way it over powers our HIDs, I would find that really surprising.

But.. which portion actually plugs into the OEM harness? the thing at the top?

It's preeeeeeetty bright. I don't know if it's a huge deal or not to other drivers but I like the fact that it dims. It doesn't dim too much and it took me 5 extra minutes to tap the HID wire.

The top most connector is what goes into our socket. The blue connector was added by rob for his added turn signal LEDs so I didn't connect it to anything.

Cool!

I want these.. but only want.

I've still got so much more planned for the car (aesthetically). I'll add these to the list, however I know I'll feel bad about taking those resistors off because I worked so hard at making that DIY for everyone.... and now Ill be destroying my own work!!

Tires are doing great with tons of tread left. I've only put 13,290 miles on them so far (I love logging things).

I kind of made a mistake buying summer tires because for about 3 months of the year here it randomly snows/ices and is around 35° most mornings. I end up swapping out them for my oem wheels fairly often in the winter which is kind of a pain.

You live in a perfect place for summer tires year round and are looking at this tire size, want to buy them?
