This weekend I made a trip down to College Station, Tx and I decided to take as many back roads/farm to market roads as I could on this 3.5 hour journey. I always take the interstate, which is really flat and straight the entire way which is boring. On my way back today I took my time and stopped to enjoy some of the countryside and took a few pictures. They were taken with my phone and edited a little bit in photoshop with my non existent art/photography skills.

He's right, I'm not asian. Pretty hard to tell in that picture, maybe it was the hair that gave it away? Maybe he pulled some high tech CSI stuff on it. Enhance!

I know there is already a thread for these in the photography sub thread but I wanted to also document these here. You know, because they are awesome.

And while I'm at it here's one from last weekend in Houston with justnspace and I are LEGEND.

It's the bulb. No reflector in there. It's still a Halogen bulb so it still produces a warm color, but with the blue tint on the bulb it produces a more white color.

So I just spent the last 9 hours installing the coils. I am completely spent. Doing this by yourself and not having the right tools is not the way I should have approached this. I lowered around 1" on front and back, but if they settle any it might be more like 1.1" or something. I didn't have time to install the control arms, maybe next weekend. I finished when it was dark so I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

As much I hate having to look at other people terrible quality phone pictures, this is all I have, so deal with it. Before and after pictures of coilovers. Didn't have time to put spacers on, but they will be on soon. I am about 1.1" rear and 1.2" front according to my crappy "before" measurements. Could be a little inaccurate but now we'll never know for sure. I am thinking about either going .1"-.2" lower in the front(or raising the rear that much) to give a little more of a rake look. I already scraped my bumper on the steep garage entry at my work today, so lower in the front might be a bad idea. Its really hard to take it at enough of an angle the way the garage
is laid out...

Got some camber (15mm spacers going on this weekend)

And I found this mischievous little guy while installing the coils...

did you scrape the front of the bumper or just the tabs?

Theres a light scrape across most of the bottom of the front bumper. You cant see it since its underneath so its not a big deal to me.

100% better bro.The moderate drop looks great! I loved how mine looked when I installed my springs! Can't believe you did the install by yourself. It's the engineer in you.

Everyone I know doesnt care about cars all that much, especially not enough to want to spend hours helping me mod mine. And the one guy I know who has an actual interest in cars was working all day.

I cut squares that were about 4" wide out of a cheap sheet of aluminum. I drilled a hole in them and put them behind the bottom mesh, then used bolts to attach to the plate frame.

I installed my new 5k HID bulbs this weekend and got a chance to take a picture of my ghetto license plate brackets for you and any others interested. I just reused the threaded clips/nuts on it instead of putting new ones on.

Oh and I also installed the J power 3 piece rear control arms this weekend too. I didnt have time to do the front ball joints but I'll put them on in the next week or two. The rear arms feel just like factory did. Car is driving great so far.
