AC Controls do not show... may be a deal breaker.

Im still alive just dont have that much time to work on the car as i used to... to answer your question yeah mine gps seems to be completely different than the one you post link of... but maybe they fix it so now the unit shows the AC and radio info

my unit did not show the AC and radio info thats why i took the DVD drive out and replace that with the factory screen that way all my info are still displayed the whole unit was plug and play and i havent have any fitment issue...yes mine has video input

plug nad play system no need to do anything to harnesses except to extending wires if you wanna relocate the stock screen like i did

i've been doing some research on headunits as well.. i just read about the p81 acrd and f81 acrd.. you can get them off amazon.. they are meant for the accord's "acrd" but per another forum member it it's just plug and play-- you can still use blue tooth aux and you still see all of your a/c controls.. also steering wheel controls will work.. you can also add a dvd player if you want but this is not necessary.. you can read more about it on driveaccord or my8th gen both are accord forums.. so far the issue is that it needs a bezel(frame around unit) he is trying to get it to fit right-- which shouldn't be too bad ..after i am done with my current system install i want to look further into this

When you extended the wires and put the oem screen lower, did you not plug those wires at all into the new unit? Or did you splice into the wires so that you had the same connection to the upper screen and lower screen?

there is no need to connect the wires to new unit cuz it wont show the info thats why i extended wires and installed the stock screen under climate control

did you just split the wires when you re-added the oem stock screen. So if you change the temperature, does it show on both. Or did you just connect everything to the stock screen and use the top screen for other things like navi and back up cam?

Mine don't rub, not even close. Then again I don't have some cartoon offset where the wheels pop out of the fenders like a pep boys accessory specialty.
