Momstance: CW2 Wagon Thread
Okay so I am finally starting an official thread, I may need to reverse engineer things here because well, I kinda accidentally the whole thing on the car already. To clarify, no I am not a mom but I see a ton of moms driving these around LOL.
Not going to bother with how it looked stock because, well I can imagine you can imagine that lol.
I first got it in October 2016 bone stock with 60k on the odometer. After I got a new job with a much shorter commute I decided to slap some BC Racing coilovers on with Megan Racing adjustable upper control arms. Also, I ended up locally finding a super rare set of Enkei RCT4 in the premium Metal Gray finish. Specs are 18x9.5+30 all around with a 235/40/18 tire.
Next I knew it needed a little more zest, the OEM beak had to go as well as gain a lip kit. I went with MVtuning after hearing some good reviews from other members on the CU2 Squad Facebook page. If you haven't joined that group, you definitely should there's some really great people on there from the forums and it's kinda nice to put faces to names lol. I wouldn't have been able to know what I'm doing without guidance from the good folks over there. Special Shoutout to Chris Bantay
The MV Tuning stuff fits really really really well, and has preinstalled doublesided tape and everything. It's very high quality. I went with the Type-S Front lip and the Mugen Sideskirts. It really makes the car look much lower which I like. Lastly, I swapped my OEM exhaust tips for some secondhand S2000 AP2 tips which fill out the cutouts nicely.
For the cherry on top, I sourced a Honda Grille and badges with the help of Chris and Dennis.
I have a pair of Forged Silver Metallic rear splashguards to complete the ground effects on the way. Not sure what is next, maybe swapping out the wheels or tint.

Everyday I'm rofling
Looking good! I've always liked the wagon.
When you sell your car can you sell me the grille/badges for a reasonable price? Millennials these days only keep their cars for about a year it seems so I'll jump in line early.

If you're looking for a grille, here's a link to where I got mine, it even comes with the gasket for the top of the grille so you don't even need to swap yours from the OEM unit. This one is not an OEM unit but at $165 it's a bargain.
JDM Style aftermarket Polished Chrome front Grille For 12-14 Acura TSX | eBay
The rear badges aren't quite as reusable, I've found that once you remove them they become brittle and break apart easily. The Facebook page will be your best bet to get those HeelToe/RatchetRacing etc.

Thank you!!! Next up is the rear splashguards, haven't had a chance to install yet but hopefully soon. Should be pretty easy and bring down that rear bodyline.

Update!!! I got new wheels just in time for my first show in this car Shukai San Jose on Oct 8th this weekend! I went with a set of Advan RGII that I sourced from Osaka! Tires are the same 235/40/18's that I had on my Enkeis.
Sizing is 18x9 +29 (I have a 5mm spacer installed pushing the final ET 24) I'm thinking of dialing out the rear to like -3 camber to make it a bit more flush but so far loving the way it looks!
I'll post some pics from the show next week and hoping to meet up with some of the local CU2 Squad members as well!

VTEC just kicked in, yo!
Looks awesome man
Curious, have your rears ever rubbed even after rolling? My rears don't even sit that flush and if I space them out 5mm, the tires rub against the side of the rear bumper lmao. It kind of shaved/sanded it down a bit.

Update: Went to Laguna Seca with the Wagon and had a blast!
I upgraded to Motul RBF600 Brake Fluid before going out and installed a fresh set of brake pads. The car did really well! I didn't take any video unfortunately, but hopefully you can enjoy these shots on the famous corkscrew!
More photos are in this album in case you want to see: https://sharplitemedia.smugmug.com/SpeedSF-WeatherTech-Raceway-Laguna-Seca-09012018/67/
