Me too. My first choice was PWP/Ebony, but I could not find a single PWP/Ebony Tech Auto with an Ebony rear shelf in the entire southeast, so I had to settle for silver.

it's connected to the plastic tubing coming out of your intake...but under the front bumper up against the driver side wheel well. Take off the bumper and you'll see it clearly...it's HUGE!

Yeah, when my wife and I went to buy our Civic Si, we wanted a white one, but they were impossible to find. So we settled and bought a black one. Goddammit I've always regretted it, so this time I stuck to my guns and waited it out for the exact color I wanted. Thankfully, my dealer found one close and it only took 2 days to get it for me. It does have the tan rear shelf ironically, but that doesn't bother me.

I removed it with the bumper off, so it was a lot easier. But yeah, its the huge black plastic thing in the driver's side wheel well. In the first picture I posted you can see the resonator sitting on the floor on the right, and the void in the wheel well on the car is where it came out of.

Removing the resonator itself wasn't too bad, its just 2 bolts and then you just pull down on it really hard and it'll pop out. The tube that comes out of it and goes into the engine bay though, that was a pain. I had to loosen the battery (but not disconnect the power) and move the tray over to take out the bolt for the bracket that holds it in place. Then you have to squeeze it past the radiator fan to pop it out. It just takes some persistence, but you'll get it out.

TRUST ME, its worth it. You'll love the difference in sound.

ahh so you have to take out the bumper in order for you to see it? haha gotcha. but im afraid that if i try to take out the bumper, i might go horribly wrong and do something wrong. haha i should ask some1 close that knows how to take it out to do it. much easier, less time consuming and 100% guaranteed haha. ohh i bet. i wonder if i can upload a video witht he intake resonator off.

I don't know that you -have- to remove the bumper. I just had mine off because I was installing the sport bumper. You might be able to remove it by just pulling back the fender liner. Worth a shot...

Its not that hard. It will be easier to take out the resonator if you take off the bumper. All you have to do is remove the plastic screw clips from the radiator cover. remove that. Remove a screw on each side of the fender wall located near the top. Get underneath and there should be three screw/clips located on each side underneath where the fog lights are. Then there are about 5 or so clips in the middle and 5 more parallel to it. And basically you need to exert some force to pull the bumper out since they are held on by clips. it would be easier if you have another person and you start on both ends and gradually pull the bumper of and work towards the center.

After you get that off, you'll see the resonator and its held on by two screws I believe. Also you need to look on top where the intake box is and you will see where the tube is. It is connected to the bottom where the resonator box. Just pull that loose so they are separate. And basically I just wiggled and then yanked it out. There are some other very small pieces which is located near the lights which is a plastic covering.

Put everything back together. A good thing to do is when you pull out the clips put them somewhere in order since not all the clips are the same.

Trust me its not hard.

Very nice, I am seriously considering the front sport bumper myself now! have you considered adding a rear lip spoiler to it?

I'm really undecided on what to do with the trunk, can't get a grip on if I want a normal spoiler, the lip, or if I'm really just liking the simplicity of having nothing. This car is so damned sexy its hard to tell what is needed and whats just changing it for the sake of changing.

Took some more pix today cause I love my car. Shows painted calipers and de-badged rear. I have officially ran out of cheap things to do to this car. Dammmit. When is someone going to make a downpipe?!?! I want more zoom.

I paid $600 for the bumper. Ordered it through my dealer, they had it 2 days later for me. The retail on the bumper is over $700, but I just told them that I could order it online for $600 shipped and they matched the price, no questions asked.

For the calipers, I used Duplicolor Caliper paint w/ceramic. I used the brush on version of it. Comes in a box with a can of paint, brake cleaner, masking tape, brush, and stirring stick. There is so much paint in the can they give you, I swear you could do calipers on 20 cars...lol

Here's a link to the product I used. You can get it at Schucks or Autozone.
http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductD...egoryCode=3276

Make sure you clean the calipers really well before you start. I used a metal brush, combined with the cleaner, and wiped them down. I also did an extra step and took a sanding drum to them with my dremel to deburr the surfaces so the paint would lay down smoother. You definitely don't need to do this, I did it more as an experiment to see how much better it would look.

I did 2 coats of paint about an hour apart, it dries pretty quick. I would do 3 coats if you have the patience. I noticed that there were thin sections in the paint that would definitely have benefited from a 3rd coat to make the red a little more rich. Pay close attention to the paint brush, as it likes to shed and leave a thread behind in the paint occasionally -WEAR GLOVES- haha

Also while you've got all the wheels off, rotate your tires

I like the brush on method because you don't have to worry about getting overspray on your new $30k car. Also, the paint lays flat very well so you don't see any brush marks in it. For calipers, brush is the way to go.

Op nice ride. I am considering trading my 2006 TL for a 2009 TSX.
My cars have always been manual and to tell you the truth I really miss it.
I know that the TSX is not a true sport car but the fact that it is offered in a manual got me thinking.

How is the overall driving experience. How are the steering characterisics?
Is it similar to the RSX or more like the 94-2001 Acura GSR? A little sporty with a touch of luxury?\Thanks

Thats so nice. Its what im trying to do with my 09 tsx. I was wondering does your tsx have a full bodykit or is it just the sport bumper that you changed?

Hi are you able to take some side shots of your TSX, i wanted to see if it looked awkward at all if it was only the front bumper without the side skirts. My dealer said that the sport front bumper would be too low if i only buy that piece, but i think he just wanted me to spend my money on the whole body kit.

i never seen it in person, but looks like ur dealer jsut wanna make moeny off you. IMO i think it looks GREAT just with the bumper. since im only a student..if i save enoguh moeny ima jsut get a sprots bumper and not the rest of the body kit.

Looks great man. Good to see some other "modded car guys" into the TSX's. So the "sport bumper" is a whole new bumper from OEM Acura? Different than the TSX front sport lip you can get from Acura?

Looking to sell my S2000 CR for a 2010 TSX....maybe white!
