Overlays were made from a template I made and some Red transparent vinyl I bought locally the other day
I'm going to do some more testing tomorrow for the template design to see if a two piece set would work better because of that dam edge :\

Much easier and cheaper to get on ebay. So many choices, and all will do the exact same thing. Here's the brand I got that is still sitting in my closet.

i looked at rvinyl.
is that stuff the tacky sticker stuff as well?
i just dont want to end up with red window tint.
that stuff is a nightmare to work with on curves.
would a single order of the 24in be enough for both sides?

It is sticky. The vinyl is thicker than regular window tint. If you don't mess up, you should be able to get all vinyled with the 2'x2'. It's really difficult to get it around those curves on our lights. Heat will help, but you will still get frustrated. At like $8 for 2'x2', it's really not a big deal if you mess up or need more.

yea. i went ahead and ordered 2 of the 24x24 or whatever.
figured id account for fuck ups.
with free shipping though, its no biggie if i need to order more.
that curve is a bitch. i tried tinting it with window tint when i first got the car.
i did the center piece no problem but that curve just wasnt happening.
i do much better with vinyl. hehe

i agree.
i finally got around to doing mine.. they look ok at best. few bubbles and one nasty wrinkle up close.
i did one side in 2 pieces and the other in a single piece. oddly, the single piece was waay easier.
just be sure to heat the hell out of the film.
that stuff doesnt stretch as easy as CF wrap.

Well aint that some shit, Stealership is saying they cant replicate the problem.... Fucking dumbasses.... It specifically states on the TSB that the problem occurs in hot weather It's ranging around 50F-65F here. Seeing that the TSB also says 09-12 ALL I'm guessing they cant pull a vin match for the problem.... le sigh...
