California has a ton of illegal immigrants and so does Florida, and they are both hot as shit. Basically the same state, how come I can't find anyone to clear my headlights!? Looks good btw, if you get hyperflash fixed I would just leave them, gives a good offset! And it looks good when you are parked having birthday sex in the backseat!

alright guys, not much of a new mod, but i switched my SRI to a CAI since it's summer time. at first i tried to convert without taking out the bumper, worked well until i had a problem with the filter sitting to low that the flap near the fog lights wont tuck in properly. then i got off of my lazy ass and rip the bumper out, only later to find out that i didn't angle the 2nd tube properly. IF i did that right in the first place, it is possible that you could convert without taking out the bumper (although it will help a lot to pull the fender line back so you can have more room to fit the filter in the tube)
once i fired it up, the very first thing i noticed is that it's quieter than SRI. under normal driving condition the intake is subtle, just like the SRI, but once you really step on it, it sounds aggressive but not as loud/agreesive as the SRI, which i thought was too loud. the CAI sounds perfect.
performance wise? i can't tell yet. so far it feels kinda the same, maybe the ecu needs time to relearn it (i did not disconnect battery, since i thought i am only changing the tube, and i don't want to reenter all my radio code and stuff lol)
next up, still going to try and mount my license plate with a DIY bracket of some sort using the original holes provided in the lower grille, but so far no luck finding such brackets.

alright...heres a better teaser of my wheels. but its gonna be a while till these are mounted. i have to get lug unts, tpms sensors, and im thinking of getting new tires since the tires they have are stretched, so theres quite a few curb marks. maybe have them fix afterwards.
my "test fitting" when i was looking at the wheels. obviously its not mounted on and its just rolled next to the car

and thanks for the help haha
lmao, and honestly i did considered rotas and other replicas as well, but i figured if i were to spend $800-900 on replicas, might as well shell out a few more bills for some quality rims. im just a college kid on a budget

1. focus on school
2. study hard
3. earn money to buy whatever you want!
you are lucky to have such a nice car at such a young age, most of people here who are buying rims/add-ons already finished school and studied hard/worked hard so now they can have money for add ons. Don't sweat the small stuff, especially when you have no income. Use it as inspiration to hit the books.
Take it from someone whos perpetually in school, Im not gonna finish till im 27 years old, if you took a similar path that would mean ANOTHER 10 years for you.
Nothing helps me study more though than the thought of buying an NSX one day for daily driving and keeping a 911 in the garage for weekends

Good post, Killer!
And we have almost the same wish. Only I will have the 911 for Daily Driver and the NSX on weekends because I havent seen here over a year no NSX. Makes the people stand with open mouth.LOL
But I´m 47 years old, too old to make my dreams come true. So your right, work hard when your young. Then you have more time to spend your money.
I spend my money on girls and drinks when I was young - Damn it was a great time! LOL

^ Forgot we are almost the same age.
NSX went out of production in 2005, they just released the new 911 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.
Personally I would make the NSX as Daily Driver and have the 911 GTS as the weekend car. Keep dreaming.

1. study hard, modding car is a hobby, a damn expensive one, but school is wayy more important and if you get a good degree, you will have years to earn money and get your dream car
2. be patient, keep saving
3. if you see a good deal and have enough money, take time to think about the purchase and if you think its a good purchase, go for it.
4. don't buy something that you can't afford, when i got these wheels, i didnt borrow any money from people, i didn't spend my whole life savings on it. i got the car in 09 when i was 17, i waited over 2 years to get rims.

Yeah I actually just accepted into University of Miami's Accelerated 1 year Nursing Program for Jan. Some bs admin issue with Barry University so I said f*ck 'em. So it's going to be one year of hell for me but the motivation for me is that I'm going to be done in one year and I'll be making that money. FT-86 anyone? lol. Too bad it's going to cost 40K for that one year. Sadly no modding for a while. Maybe little mods to keep me sane when i go through it lol.
Can't wait to start in Jan!!!!
