Paint match on A-Spec Bumper, 4+ years later
So for those of you who were curious about installing an A-Spec kit onto an 09 car and uncertainty of paint fade... I finally installed a new in box rear bumper this weekend.
4 years later and a perfect match (in sunny, overcast and artificial light conditions). Happy I went ahead and did it.

Thank you!
I am installing some spacers and and a few more minor things over the next bit. I'll detail and do a quick shoot once it's all good to go... I really wish clear reflectors existed to replace the amber up front.. if only...
I snapped this other pic from the fron but the car was dirty and it was way over cast.. lol the chrome wheels look filthy..

The car is parked underground day and night so exposure to sun and what not has been limited.
Though... I've seen some of the 1G TSXs in Pearl White, and lots of "yellowish" ones

Thanks! Actually bought it at the dealership, and it wasn't *that* expensive.

Mwursthorn: The spoiler is actually the Read Deck Lid Lip from Honda/Acura. It was available in North America for the 2009/2010 Acura TSXs and came pre-painted and ready to go (it also came with a spring for the trunk that made the trunk pop open)
ipartit: Love the front aero. I started with the front aero. Ended up getting the rear deck spoiler. Then thought the car was off, so picked up the side skirts. Had been rolling around with the original bumper and mud guards (which I thought looked nice) but had the urge and just went out and completed the kit

Hey speedracer, sorry for resurrecting an old thread but it's awesome news that your paint matched nicely!
I'm from Toronto as well... which shop did you go to get this done? I'm thinking about getting the A-Spec rear at some point, and was super worried about paint matching my 2013 BWP if I couldn't find the part already painted (she's like brand new... 4k kms on it).
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I've also read that someone else asked the dealer about the SE bumper and they were told it comes unpainted there too.

TSX AMG Type //M i-VVT
pretty sure only the modulo / sport comes painted, the other ones don't.

The bumper in this thread is in accesories and it is pre painted, the only other bumper is the SE bumper and it is not painted, no such thing as A Spec anymore

I inquired about getting the A-spec through the stealership and was told that Acura Canada would need to confirm your VIN as being A-spec in order to purchase it.
Hopefully things have changed now. I do love the modulo kit, only issue is the grill for the front would also need to change for 11+ which I wasn't willing to do.

I originally purchased the car stock, but then couldn't live with it without the "Aero Kit"
The Aero kit came with individual components:
- Front Bumper
- Rear Bumper
- Driver Skirt
- Passenger Skirt
As well as:
- Lip Deck spoiler
- LED High Mount Spoiler
And...
- Side body molds (blehhh!!!)
They all came factory pre-painted in 2009 and 2010 colours. For white the colour that year was Premium White Pearl.
My install was just a simple rip and replace. No painting needed but I was concerned that my original paint would have faded.
I believe some of the newer kits don't come painted -- but -- I would verify. The 2011+ kits are all radically different.. I know there were a couple plastic add-ons for the existing bumper -- and -- and a few different options for the rear bumper over the years.
And.... if the Dealers are asking you for the VIN -- simply head over to a used lot and you're set!!
