I was thinking about removing the resonator, but decided against it.... MAybe next time..... As for the bumper, I didn't really see a problem especially since it wasn't going to move again until it was ready to go back on. I love the switchbacks dude, I actually picked up that idea from kowloon.

Whoa, just noticed that lol ^

Car looks great! I asked my dealer if I would be able to remove the amber or not (if it was legal) and the dealer said it would be illegal but I was thinking, there are heaps of cars on the streets that don't have amber on their headlights so... maybe I could just change a bulb or something? :\

Yeah, I've been debating on taking the resonator off but I'm still researching the pros and cons.

I replaced the OEM bulb with a V-LEDS V2 Switchback bulb..... The bulb is white, but when the turn signal is engaged it blinks amber. I think that covers the legal issue

can someone explain how the resonator works? i thought it connects to stock airbox... if its not connected to that isnt it just like sitting there? or does the sri suck air through it just by proximity?

if i am not mistaken, the resonator silents the sound of the OEM intake. now that he has the takeda SRI, idk if the resonator has anymore use?

Check out kowloons thread bro, that's where I got my inspiration from

Thanks bro. Honestly, it's really not that hard to clear your headlights..... When you're studying the DIY write up it just seems like it's going to kick your ass, but once you knock out the first headlight you'll realize that it's simple.

So you guys are telling me that there is no need for the resonator at this point? If that's the case I will pull it off. One question......... IF I decide to switch over to CAI will the missing resonator affect anything?? Just curious.

you wont be able to install a cai until you remove the resonator box. the location of the box is where the cai filter resides and where the cold, in cold air intake comes from.

also, at this point, I don't think your old resonator is doing anything useful.

Looks nice....

Take the resonator out, it's serving no purpose right now lol.
The SRI is doing the job the resonator should be doing.

Thanks for the advice fellas.... I'll be taking that resonator off today or tomorrow...... Should I keep it or just throw it away? I've already studied up on Defcon's DIY Resonator Removal video, hope I do it right . It doesn't look hard at all.

The fact that you have your SRI in there means that the plastic tubing that connected it is out, so all you'll be doing is pretty much pulling. Should be easy haha.

LOL! Yeah I love doing things to my car especially if it has to deal with taking the thing apart! Have fun with it! And, just a suggestion, i think it'd be in your best interest to put your bumper on some sort of blanket...

It's cool bro . I'll post more pics shortly. I have to open the headlights back up anyway because I forgot to take a piece out.

Looks great man, i love it on the pwp. still can't get the courage to do it yet. And for some reason it doesn't look like your grille sits flush with your hood anymore.

Took the resonator out and it definitely wasn't like Defcon's.... Dude, it was a pain in the ass. I had to take all kinds of stuff off to get that thing outta there. Sorry, I didn't get any pics but I'm happy it's over.

Thanks man.... It's so easy bro, but I understand your hesitation. The grill is still flush with the hood, I'm not sure why it looks that way.

Looks great man, what did you use to open your headlights, did you bake them, hair dryer (for a long time), or heat gun? Did you run into any clip problems or snaps here and there? Thanks for the post, cleared looks amazing on white. I am debating opening mine up and blacking out all I can possibly without messing up the lighting.

you should just bake it and do it already. worst thing that can happen is you completely melt your headlights and buy a new one for $600

no pressure though hehe

I preheated the oven to 250 degrees for 10 minutes, no more and no less. That temp. got the job done.

No issues at all man. I pretty much followed Kowloon's DIY thread and eveything turned out just fine.
