Amirite?
I guess you're right. I thought the small thin display on the HU was displaying the temps but I guess it only displays audio info etc.
Either way on non navi models the climate control still functions as normal and the original display remains.

Only function I lost is the bluetooth on the steering wheel. I used the USDM 2009 honda accord stereo harness with PAC steering control module.
The factory Honda bezel is from a 2010 Euro Honda Accord Tourer 2.0 S model. I picked this up at a honda dealer in France when I was there for business. I will go again sometime end of this yr.

Thanks Dan, looks great. Love the system, very modern. I'm assuming your subwoofer and all your factory speakers / amps worked just fine with this set up.

How does it sound?

^^ thanks...yes everything works especially the factory amp and sub. The Honda accord stereo adaptor harness keeps everything. Sounds way better than the stock unit.

Hey Dan, how did you get the sub to work since i've lost mine with the install?
The bluetooth buttons and the sub were the only things that didn't work afterwards.

Which stereo adapter did you use?
I used this below which is from a 2009 Honda accord with factory amp. Hope this helps

System looks good, is the screen above only used for the heat settings now?

Yup, the upper screen only displays the climate controls now. No more factory clock or radio display which the new navi offers.

I want to do the same, just trying to figure out the process.

You're the aerospace engineer right?

I'm glad I chose the right field of study! Wanna hook up a young and enthusiastic engineer graduating in May?

Yes sir. My daily work is not my only source of income so please make sure you plan out a backup just in case (side business, investments, etc.....) Not even sure if I'm keeping the GTR that long. Still want a 997 GT3...in time I guess.

The Aerospace engineering industry will have a big impact starting next year since many groups of people everywhere are retiring in phases. I myself cannot currently hookup any positions but you should not have any trouble after you graduate.

Applied to Embrear for their new Manufacturing Facility in Melbourne, FL. It's their first facility here in the United States. Supposedly they are supposed to be rolling out 60 new jets by 2016

Haven't heard anything back... maybe I should have sent my resume in Portuguese lol.

At any rate, if you do happen to hear of entry level ME positions available try to remember me haha. I have 3 years of background in Gas Turbines so I can directly apply that to aero.

Hi Dan, I want to do the same setup as well. Can you list me everything I will need? Please specify part numbers and if I can go through you to get them. Basically, I want to have the entire kit ready for install. The head unit is not a problem, finding these pieces are. Thank you!!! Please share!
