C3Motors '09 TSX

I mentioned seeing this TSX at the dealership in another thread. Here are some photos (not the best, just had my phone with me.) Has 20" wheels as well.

Haven't decided whether I like the front better or not.

I like the painted grill better, i'm not sold on the a spec kit myself but i hardly ever like body kits. Wheels are ok but i'm also not a fan of anything with a lip, pita to clean and makes the wheels look smaller, i'd rather have a 19" full face wheel than a 20" with lip.

The painted grill looks ok on white. But I can imagine it would look awful on my VBP.

i figured when you said custom grill in your other thread they were going to slap chicken wire back there.... i have to say im not feelin the grill nor the style rims. The 20's size wise looks like it fits in there nice though.

I like everything but the wheels...the 20" lip-rivets looks belongs on um, well, probably a 1998 Dodge Dakota

well now we know that even 20's look small.

lesson:
09 TSX = no lip, only full faced rims, and 20" is the right size.

I think once TEIN comes out the suspension, I am going to jump up to 22's I don't think it will look "DONKISH" but I think it will fill the wheel well good, and look tasteful

im sure a different style wheel in 20's would look a lot bigger and better than the one pictured. When the car is lowered it will look much better and reduce the wheel gap... unless like you said you wanna fill the gap up with 22's

Cheap grill chicken fish net crap.

Gross non-jdm rims.

Put chrome on the Escalade only kkty.

White grill looks cheese.

IMO!

Stock is 100% more pimp

The thing I am worried about is the space from front to back of each wheel well..IT IS HUGE...when you put the 20's on it, they look like 17's

22's on an Acura TSX
:angryfire

Stock wheels are 17", upgrading +5 is ghetto IMO...just because these 20's don't look good doesn't mean 20's are insufficient for the 09 TSX.

I'd be curious to know what size tire they're using. 245/30/20 has an overall wheel diameter of 25.787 (stock is 25.858, a difference of -0.071), so the better aesthetic choice would probably be 235/35/20 at 26.476...although there's a +0.618 difference, it'll help fill in the wheel well better. Obviously the speedometer would be off (13.754 wheel revolutions per second compared to 14.082 stock), but if the concern is aesthetics, this tire is the better choice. The 255/30/20 tire is 26.024 overall, but a 255 series tire is probably too wide.

Personally, from what I've seen, a 19" wheel is the optimal size for the '09 TSX.

I am going to start with 20's when Tein comes out with a Suspension setup, and then go from there. I had 20's on my 06 TL and they looked fabulous. IMO

I think the style of wheel is what makes it look so HORRIBLE.

I just have to wait till all you guys put rims on so I know what looks good LOL!!!

Im going to go for 19's on mine, I do a fair bit of highway driving and still want a bit of ride quality.

I'm also going to drop it about 1" only.....

I got 35% tints on the week end!

Hate the rims, the rest is a slight improvement over factory.

Like the grill better. I don't do chrome but it's not my car. All you have to do now is remove the ACURA TSX. And how do I add an image?
