I wouldn't say the 1G looks bland/featureless... more like clean and classy. Even though my 09 is not here yet (color combo I wanted had to be ordered), I still think my 05 is a great looking car but I do agree the styling is somewhat dated.

midlife crisis...nice TSX, I love the blue!! If it wasn't for the fact that I have this obsession with WHITE cars, that color would be my next choice. It's simply gorgeous!

I see your neighbor doesn't share your passion for sweet cars...That must be a 1988 Grand Am or something?!

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.[1] Clearly, two different design attitudes at work here. To me, the 1GEN looks sleek, uncluttered, minimalist; the 2GEN has more angles, details, "touches."

Neither's good or bad, though I sometimes wonder if the same designer was working on all the parts of the 2GEN.

[1] Whether one is "better" than the other is a personal taste issue, and no contention or derogation is intended.

the backside actually looks better in person than in pics. but the front still looks horrendous.

The more I see the car, the more I like the styling. There are two things I'd change before even getting home from the dealer's lot, tho:

1. The grill
2. The rims

Other than that, the exterior has really grown on me. As for the interior, tho, I think the center stack is a bit overloaded with buttons and might get a bit confusing. It sucks to have to take your eyes off the road just to find the button you're looking for (not to mention dangerous). That's why simple is better, IMHO.

I'm not up on my lease for another two years, but I'd seriously consider another TSX (and I'd drive to the dealership with the four new rims and the new grill in the trunk of my current one, lol).

A good comparison shot. I also saw a front side by side comparison when I was at a dealership test driving the 09. I don't think the first gen looks bad by any means... it was a nice looking car, especially in its day. That said, I much prefer the looks of the second gen, including the grille.

Basically, the first gen now looks too reserved and plain to me. I love the angles and body shape/size on the second. I even like the new grille at this point, because it makes the car look even more bold. The first gen was a nice car, but as with all cars, the time came for a necessary change.

Maybe it's the angle of the shot, but you can really notice the size difference between the 2 in that picture.

I can't imagine how mean and aggressive they'll look when the body kits get to market. That I cannot wait to see.

The car grows on me more and more with each picture posted.

[QUOTE=alexxn]I dunno how crazy I am about this color yet (I'm a clean freak so maybe I should have gotten Silver) but it looks very nice when it's clean !

I see that your from South Florida. How do you like Palm Beach Acura? Very nice car.

I think the grill on the MDX got everyone too sensitive about Acura's "gladiator" styling. The TSX grill is not that bad, I can live with it.

I have no problems with the car design except for the lower fog light openings and air damn opening. I mean, they kinda clash with the bumper shape and seem uninspired. The TL has a distinct and attractive setup with the airdamn and fog lights. maybe they will revise MM or something.

Chibianh, you made the 1st gen TSX look like an old Camry with the comparison picture.

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that...and I was going to help my friend buy an old TSX.

I did some online research and got a deal of 26000 before taxes... for an 08 with tech package.

Sorry its going off topic, but how much are you guys getting for your 09's?

One dealer told me 500 off MSRP is all he can do.

dang, i never believed i'd say this, but the new Acura grill looks better than the one on the Euro Accord. the grill is just bland.

wish we also got headlight washers though on the TSX.

Mine is Polished Metal. Personally, I just think that it's no longer politically correct to use the name gun metal so they decided "polished" was friendlier ....

What kind of tires did you get put on there? I chose the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position in 225/45/ZR18 which is the only size that will give you the same speedometer readout as the stock 225/50/R17s. I haven't gotten my car yet though... any day now. Still waiting on the sport bumper kit to come in to the dealership.

Very nice tires... that was what the dealer recommended if I wanted Summer only tires though, that is why I went with the Bridgestone (all season high performance tire). That and the 15k mile rating on the Yokohamas vs 40k on the Bridgestone. Car looks great though, enjoy!

I agree. The Euro grille blends into the shape of the car better, but it also looks bland and uninspired in comparison to the TSX's. I actually really like how much the grille stands out on the TSX. It has grown on me a lot.

The accessory wheels look better in real world pics than they do in the brochure pics, that's a good thing. deTSX, your car looks great!

I'm glad to see so many people opening up to the new grill. When I first saw pictures I was a little concerned but once I saw it in person I really liked it. Everyone that has seen my car has loved it (including the grill). I agree about it looking better than the European Accord.

As soon as I get my car back from the dealer tomorrow (they're installing the lid spoiler) I will post some pictures of the finished product.
