I LIKE the lip spoiler. It completes the lines from the existing body very well ... and even works with the "more aggressive" front end. Nice color too. Keep it clean, dude, show off the '09.

^^That looks nice^^ I don't know a Goldman Sach's oil analyst predicted oil hitting $200 a barrel. HoCo is going to be looking like geniuses for resisting adding a V8 and or following the other companies in escalating the HP race above 300hp. The TSX will be a very compelling choice for many especially as gas prices continue to rise. The diesel motor would be a boon to the TSX because those engines can be tuned to be much more fuel efficient compared to regular gas.

My Baby

Not sure if this is going to work...its my first time posting pics.

For those of you considering purchasing this car, I'd recommend relying more on your own test drive then somewhat biased opinions on this site. Everyone here obviously loves their car, so they're naturally going to stick up for it. No offense to G1 owners, because I think that the G1 tsx is a sweet car, but for me the G2 is a home run. Personally, I think that it is a much better looking car than the G1...i even like the "element"...a lot! Inside, the G1 is eons better as well, in terms of technology and comfort...again, that's my personal opinion...I mean no disrespect. As far as handling, the car feels fantastic to me.

I should have it no later than a month from now. I have a CG 04 that I am selling to a friend.

I was very tempted the day I ordered the 09 to get the black on black. It is stunning in person.

Thanks for the help prballard! How'd you do that? I tried to follow the directions under the FAQ section and felt like an orangutan trying to learn a new language. Whatever. I was originally going for a polished metallic, but went with black on black at the last minute. I'm definitely glad that I did...it is beautiful in person. I have to say, the pics on acura.com and most review sites don't do this car justice....it is much much better looking in person. I, for one, actually like the front grill that everyone's been crapping on. Maybe its because I'm going from a 1995 OJ Simpson bronco that I've had since college to this

Your welcome. Just type "img" instead of "url" when posting pics.

Black certainly is beautiful. I had 2 black Acura Vigors in the past. They had a cognac interior (rich medium tan). I still think the TSX’s parchment is too light and I didn’t want black on black because of the heat. My wife had a black on black Outback a few years ago and heat was always a problem in the summer.

Actually, I think black with a taupe interior would have been a nice combo. Unfortunately it isn’t offered.

As for the grill, I think getting the black is a bold move. It is like saying love it or hate it, here it is. I am sure when you come up quickly from behind someone just hanging out in the left lane, driving your black beauty it will just about make them piss in there pants.

PS - I love this shot

Please guys, DON'T do that for images larger than 800x600. It distorts the width of the table that all posts are formatted in for a BBS, causing text of every page to stream off the right side of the screen for people on monitor resolutions smaller than 1900x1200.

Dunno why, but I like this shot. It makes the new body look fluid, fast, and sleek.

That black on black sure looks nice. I was very close to getting black on black. Decided to go for the red though.

I have yet to see a good pic of the '09 TSX at night with the lights on. Doesn't mean there haven't been any, but ... would SOMEONE take some?

tapwave....Nice car and nice pics! I seem to get the impression from the interior pics that you have the non navi option, is that correct? If so, whats your impression of the sound system compared to the ELS if you have had the chance to listen to both. I have an 2006 and that one has 8 speakers while the 2009 has 7 (six plus a sub woofer). I am curious to see if this years model will sound AS good as my 2006. I really wanted the upgraded stereo but didn't want the NAVI nor the backup camera so it was hard to justify paying 3000 more (in Canada) for an upgraded stereo...

i really like the car, i felt teh same way as you are when choosing between the navi and non-navi. I felt that the non-touch screen navi system was so limited based on the fact that u control everything through that big knob, i wanted to be able to touch it! so i got the non-navi

Keep in mind that no matter what the car is, it is still acura so the sound will be good no matter what. I didn't get the chance to hear what the tsx with navi sounded like, but i really liked how i now have a car with a subwoofer( i used to drive a 2001 tacoma ). my sister has an '05 tsx and i have to say that they sound kinda similar but they both sound GReat!

tapwave...It's re-assuring that the 09 won't sound worse than my 06. I like the sound out of my system but I must say the the ELS system sounded pretty sweet!! I haven't had the chance to fully listen the base system but I am hoping the sub will add a nice sound to it...

wicked...I think its been pretty covered that the front of the TSX is not the most beautiful thing on earth and the comparison to the Saturn has been covered many times as well. I would push it one step further that Acura would have been better off copying the exact Saturn front grill because it still looks better than that of the TSX....the slanted brick pattern is just plain horrible!

Nice pics, Tapwave...that color is great.

As far as the system, I agree with you...acuras always sounds nice. I listened to both and IMO the non-nav system is just as good as the system in the G1 with nav. The ELS system is just plain mind-blowing, however. My buddy has a 2008 BMW 335i coupe with the upgraded 13 speaker system and it doesn't touch the ELS. It sounds great, but when turned up, it definitely gets muffled...not so with the ELS...max is 40 and it sounds just as good at 40 as it does at 10.

Enjoy your new ride!

webs...thats what I was afraid of hearing....I hope I won't regret not spending the extra cash to get the ELS....When it comes in, I'll check it out. The problem is that my daler doesn't have lots of TSX and they are all with the upgraded stereo...If I am too disapointed, I'll just let the one I ordered go by and instead, put my name of the next PWP with NAVI....

Sorry, but this is now "broken record" material. Let's find new things to say, and put them "the element thread."

Yeah... I think this type of comparison is overdone, and it's really not that accurate. Look at Tapwave's TSX and PointQ's TSX... they're similar in color to the Aura picture, but the feel of the front is totally different. The TSX looks so much more aggressive and impressive... just because Saturn poorly executed an idea in an uninspiring way, it doesn't mean another automaker can never do something even remotely similar.

To be perfectly honest, like with most unusual things (like Nintendo's name "Wii") I'm now used to "the element" and I like it. When I compare the new front to the previous generation's front, the old one looks bland and plain in comparison. I love all the angles on the new TSX -- looks great.

^ Exactly...and the front of that Saturn is much closer to the front of the 2006+ Civic sedans but we never hear people complaining that the 09 TSX has copied the front of the Civic.

Now back to pictures. I'm especially eager to see pictures of the TSX in Basque Red and Vortex Blue (only colors I haven't seen in person).

Thanks everyone for posting these pictures. Seeing it in 'real life' sorta pics has really changed most of my views on it. The grill isn't all that bad at all (better on some colors than others), oddly it's the angular grill stuff filling up the other areas that bugs me now. Wheel arches do indeed make the wheels look small, but we know what it looks like with 19's on it and what a difference.

But man alive, black is awesome on that car! and I noticed the color on Taps right away, I really want to see that color in person.

My main concern right now is the electronic steering. For me feedback through the steering wheel is essential, I love good feedback. It's what I loved most about my integra. What does everyone think of the new steering? I know it still handles great but do you feel too disconected with what's going on between the tires and the road?

Those do look way better. Looks like the same style of multi-spoke wheel that looks so good on the 1G will look great on the 2G.
