It definitely sounds different under load, to the point that I had to take the test pipe off and go back to the cat.

I recorded the video on my micro 4/3rd's. I'll have to see if the GoPro will do any justice. The sound from the GoPro sounds muted without an external mic and I don't think my wife is too interested to be standing outside with the camera.

Thanks for the vid! I'm still not sold on this exhaust though... but it's definitely decent for its price.

So with my son and wife's complaints, I played around with this set up to make it a bit more family friendly in the cabin. First attempt was taking off the Tsudo test pipe and running the exhaust with the OEM 2nd cat. It helped a bit, but still got annoying on long drives. Went in yesterday and had the Tsudo resonator replaced with a generic 18" long resonator. The exhaust sound from the rear is down a notch, but definately did it's trick inside the cabin. The low rumble is still heard, but its no longer annoying and overpowering conversations.

Did I defeat the purpose of adding an aftermarket exhaust? Probably, but I found the middle ground that works for me. More sound presence on the outside while still tolerable on the inside.

^^ that's great ulrblitzer. If you ever get a chance, could you shoot a vid of how it sounds from the outside with your new setup? Much appreciated!

Cool vid, but you should place your phone um 20 inches at a 45 degree angle(?) from the exhaust to get some "better" readings i guess lol.

The tips are actually rubbing the cut outs. The bumper is holding up ok tho. The tips are so big they dissapate the heat pretty good and the tips are touching a reinforced lip inside the cutout.

I tried moving the phone around for the best results. The sound pick up stays the same. Its a limitation of the phone. I used it to give you guys a reference point since all camera's record different + youtube chops up the sound quality.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the limitation of the phone. It saturates at like 92 dB or something when I saw.

Which ever is free. I think the phone is the problem, not the app.

after ulrblitzer added/replaced that resonator, i'm thinking of getting one now since i don't think rv6 is going to make an exhaust for our cars.

It's definitely a lot more tolerable after taking off Tsudo's test pipe and putting on a longer resonator. It fits the car's profile more and doesn't sound obnoxious. I was always conscious of stepping on the gas with my family in the car before tinkering to get the right sound. Just did a 13 hour road trip and no one got annoyed/bothered by the exhaust note.

But this happened, an hour away from home, so no car. A deer wanted to get a close up.

We're all ok. Lucky it was a small 20-25lb deer. Air bags didn't deploy. Quoted $5500 in parts, $2500 in labor. Insurance and the shop won't give me the Hella horns back. I couldn't get any tools under the busted hood to remove them before the tow.

Man, I do miss driving my car. Rolling around in a 03 Nissan Frontier. Talk about underpowered and undersized braking components.

Good to hear you're ok. If you do get it fixed, let's hope it drives just as good as before. Cars are seldom the same as they were before an accident

It's stupid droney with the test pipe on. Ran with it for a day and quickly put the 2nd cat back on. Sound resonates into the cabin like crazy. My 18 yr old self would've enjoyed it. No offense to the young owners.

My biggest fear since I move from south Florida to GA last summer. Can't tell you how many times I see them in the early AM crossing 369. Fixing to get a runner soon so this this not happen to me. Hope they fixed your car like it never happened. If you have any say in the matter of who repairs its, please use this to your advantage >> Acura Body Shop Locator: Recognized Collision Repair Center

Thread revival.
Has anyone bought through SE motors?
Im debating Tsudo with SE for $460
or a Tanabe exhaust with TH motorsports for $800

Any help would be appreciated

I am digging the sound of the car. The addition is subtle over stock. I have a CU2 wagon Daily but not sure if I want to dump money into it but that is a nice and cheap exhaust!
