I went to a few local muffler shops and got quotes on getting a custom test pipe done to replace my cat. I found a nice place that will do it all + install for $190 CAD. I just want to hear your guys' opinions on what exactly you think this will do for my car. I'm not expecting a lot of power, especially since the TSX cats are supposed to be very high flowing, atleast on the 06-08 TSX's, but I'm getting a bit bored with my car and just want to try something new.

3 of my buddies with S2K's have told me that their T1R test pipe is a great bang for the buck mod and my brothers T1R test pipe on his CSX-S did wonders for his throttle response, acceleration and exhaust tone...I even felt the difference immediately after I drove it.

I am 90% sure I will definitely go through with this mod, but I still want to hear from my fellow TSX'ers.

 

If there's only one cat on this car, (no pre-cat) I'd only do it if I had an o2 simulator so no light and resulting management crap.

With a stock exhaust, it might sound ok, with an aftermarket, I'd bet it will sound like a kazoo.

 

Pretty sure there is a pre-cat on our cars. When I looked under the car to see about removing the exhaust 'resonator' a la 1st Gen TSX, I noticed the cat and forward of that by the firewall was what looked like a precat.

 

Ohhh thanks for the input guys, ill definitely ask the guy about this.
