Metal Pedals

So I'm sure I am not the first person do do this but it worked out well so I wanted to share.

I purchased the jdm metal racing pedals off eBayfor $65. It states that the dead pedal needs modifications. That is very true. So on delray Acura's site I purchased the stock 2012 metal pedal for about $35.

This could not have worked out better. The dead pedal that comes with this kit in no way fits. The stock one is direct replacement. Just pull off the old one and pop in the new one. They match perfectly.

As for the clutch and brake the kit comes with a drill bit to drill out the stock pedals screw holes. Very easy to do. The gas pedal fits over the rubber gas pedal. That one I will be getting stainless screws for since you have to drill them in. The soft ones provided strip out. For around $100 and 15 mins to install they are perfect.

Looking good OP.

I did the same, bought the dead pedal from Stealership, got the other 3 from Strutking.com using the TL (04+) Manual Pedal Set without the footrest.

I have had strutking pedals on other cars and they make good quality pedals, I order extra replacement grip inserts cause the clutch one does tend to wear out after a few years, at least for me lol

i also got strut kings pedals for my 6spd back in may. good stuff. i did trim my gas pedal to get it to fit properly - since the kit is for the first gen tsx - and my dead pedal is just friction fitted over the plastic dead pedal.

Do the strut king 04+ TL (5AT) pedals work for the CU2?

The gas pedal will fit, with slight modification, the side or top lip, needs to be bent a little outward for a snug fit. I am not 100% sure on the Brake pedal. Email strutking and ask them, they are really good at answering back

So the 04-08 MT TSX pedals from strut king are a direct fit to CU2?

clutch and Brake pedals fit from the first gen TSX, as well as the TL ones. They are the same actually, even the 01-05 Civic fit too.
The only difference is the gas pedal. In my experience and from my email conversation with strutking, the TL has a better fit, but like mention above, a slight mod needs to be done to sit flush. I am not sure what issue if any did dave_88 encounter with the first gen Gas pedal.

i bought the first gen tsx kit, as stated, and the brake/clutch pedal went on fine.

The dead pedal needs a little trimming, super easy - once you get it, you'll figure it out quick. I didn't even fasten it down; the metal dead pedal is just compression fitted over the plastic factory one and has been perfect.

For the gas pedal, it'll fit without any trimming, but i wanted it to really fit flush, so i trimmed like maybe, half an inch off the top of the plastic pedal, and it fits great.

The hardest part is probably drilling the holes for the gas pedal.

I have to replace my pedal grips soon as I have almost worn through the clutch pedal and the brake pedal is on its way out. I must upgrade to these SE pedals.. I'm kinda leaning towards ordering the OEM parts listed.. But I refuse to spend on that factory gas pedal assembly that shit is gwap.

46992-TL0-R01 foot rest
46545-SNW-J21 foot pedals

But the strutking tl set and factory dead rest seems to be the best option, no waste. Wish the gas pedal cover was sold seperate.

Outside of the looks I can't tell a difference when I drive. I did purchase the spare rubber inserts just incase they do wear out down the road.

Get the OEM Dead Petal and you can have your replaced in about 15 mins.

I made the mistake of using those sparco metal pedals with rubber grips in my previous car, while they looked cool and had grip when shoes were 100% dry, once your shoes or sandals were a little wet it was like ice skating lol specially right after a car wash.
Took those bitches out and trashed them. My buddy had gone the strutking route and they did not get slippery.

Actually i have a kit from eBay. The whole thing costs like 21 bucks and I honestly don't even know if it's real. It came in a really nice Acura box and all the pedals say Acura on them. I'll take a pic later today. I think they might be the legit thing, although i dunno why they were so cheap. The guy at the dealer said it looked to be the SE pedals.

There's a ton of those on eBay. Probably just one company mass producing knock-offs. Although, it's a pedal, who cares if it's "real" or fake. As long as it fits/works.
