Injen, K&N, or AEM - 2012 Acura TSX 6MT

With everyone's experience, what performs and sounds the best on a CU2 TSX?

I am leaning toward the Injen.

Thanks

Did you search the forums? Are you sure there's no thread about this anywhere in the forums?

I don't know...like...

or

or even...

what's an intake?

+1 on using search function man haha. the topic's been covered many times.

in the end, they are all pretty much the same and you can't really go wrong with anyone of them.

alright so i have narrowed it down to injen or the icebox.

question is... how likely is it that there will be water damage, if i dont live in a floodzone?

dont want to ruin my new car..

is the icebox better protected then the injen, or there is no difference?

I had a civic si with a cold air and drove through some of the biggest rainstorms in the northeast. I never hydrolocked. If you need to get passed a puddle, but the car in neutral and cost through it. Or don't give it gas while you roll through the puddle. But, as everyone suggested, you'll be fine. only 6 idiots out of 1734804724 who own cais hydrolock and then start getting everyone else worried about it.

Also, your car pulls air from the left, puddles usually preside on the right hand side of the rode as you are driving down the street. You hardly ever see a puddle in the middle of the road.

thanks.

will Injen CAI Part No: SP1432P work with a 2012 TSX. no website shows it as compatable.. but i think that it should be fine because its a 2nd gen tsx.

AutoAnything.com has it for around 250 after 15% off and free shipping. good price?

also, is polished or black better for my milano red tsx?

thanks.

plus there is a 15 dollar factory rebate and free hydro shield included until the end of the month. Seems like the best deal right?

Just understand that free hydro shield does not mean free hydro lock prevention.

Hey guys, please read below: this is a response from INJEN. They told me that the part SHOULD fit fine, but that i would need to worry about the following, since it hasnt been tested yet...

"The ECU runs on a set fuel trim and has about 15+/- correction window before a CEL is triggered. If the ECU has been re-tuned from the factory for emissions purposes. That could change and the tune we have built into our intake will not work the same and could possibly trigger a CEL. Honda and Acura’s normally don’t change over the production span of the vehicle but we never know and we have to protect ourselves and make sure 100% before we approve it. All I can really say is, people have already installed it in the 2012 models"

What is CEL, and should i be ok? Thanks

CEL = Check Engine Light

They're just covering themselves in the event that the ECU has been re-tuned for the 2012 TSXs. It's doubtful but still a possibility. They're basically saying it should work but they've never done any testing on 2012...only the previous years. The fact that they said other people have installed it on their 2012 cars and none have reported any issues to them bodes well.
