GReddy Supreme SP in the makings!

Source:

Can't wait for a sound clip. This should definitely give RV6 some competition, if they ever decide to finish the damn thing that is.

From a simple eBay search for existing Supreme SP catback exhausts, the FRS/BRZ offering is ~$750 USD, which is dual exit. I'm hoping if they ever release this for the CU2, it'll be priced similarly and not somewhere over the top.

:wish:

edit: I realize this could potentially be a repost as I believe I recall Jaheri or someone else mentioning GReddy is making something for the CU2, but this recent IG post with an actual picture of a prototype on a CU2 is a huge step forward IMO!

Shiny :precious:

The tips don't look offensive either; I might have to start mugging children for their lunch money so I can buys one of these.

ulrblitzer 07-09-2015 10:08 AM

I'm one of those 1,998 instagrammers who "liked" that photo lol.

Too bad I was cheap and impatient and bought the Tsudo, even though I believe Tsudo made a knock off of this exhaust before it existed. (Tsudo SP2 to Greddy Supreme SP?)

xtcnrice 07-09-2015 12:29 PM

Hmm, GReddy has an SP2 exhaust. Maybe it was based off that?

dave_88 07-09-2015 01:01 PM

ugh, just when i talked myself out of an exhaust. looking forward to the final piece.

roflitzjinno 07-12-2015 07:55 PM

Curious if this would be offered in the first gen model.

I always hated Greddy because of their gaudy potato cannon tips. :tomato:

xtcnrice 07-13-2015 07:08 AM

^I kinda like the polished look!

justnspace 07-13-2015 07:10 AM

^these arent bad at all!!

it's different from Greddy of the '90's.

xtcnrice 07-13-2015 09:05 AM

ah I see what you're saying :)

justnspace 07-13-2015 09:22 AM

Sexy!

minhdung1911 07-14-2015 01:03 AM

I think it won't be able to get rid of the raspiness from PCD as GReddy has been working on a stock CU2. Hope that i'm wrong.

Yeah someone's gonna have to try it out for themselves to confirm.

dave_88 07-14-2015 10:44 AM

^^^^i think you just volunteered.

My OBX GREDDY China knockoff cat-back got rid of 100% of the rasp from my CATLESS skunk2.. I highly doubt with the quality of a true greddy that you are going to have rasp still.. rV6 pipe or not... OBX setup is still running strong, slightly louder since first installed but still sounds great and NO RASP.. There are vids on YouTube of a cs2 accord (same motor as cu2) with rv6 pipe and the older design SP exhaust and it had no rasp as well, so there is proof out there...

Jaheri_cbp 07-14-2015 01:12 PM

Por ejemplo... This guy has rV6 test pipe and PCD with the older greddy se catback..

Do you have a link to this cs2 accord you speak of? I'd love to hear it to get an idea of what this might end up sounding like.

xtcnrice 07-14-2015 02:56 PM

lol @ the 190whp celebration

Sounds pretty good Jaheri. I wonder what dual exit will sound like.

minhdung1911 07-14-2015 11:38 PM

That would be great if there was no rasp :-). Looking forward to the Greddy release.

MNTSXClub_CU2 07-18-2015 11:57 AM

Sounds super nice, I can't wait for kit for the CU2!! I was thinking mags, but now i may just reconsider...lol

xtcnrice 05-04-2016 11:17 AM

It's out! $750 MSRP
10% off ($675) + free shipping (to continental US I believe) until May 16th.

Official GReddy shop:
Acura (CU) TSX Supreme SP Exhaust - Spl Introductory Offer

HeelToe (also honouring the 10% off and free shipping):
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/product-...r-cu2-cw2.html
(it has more info there; link to the actual product is on that page)

And equally as important, sound clip from the test car (thank you Danny Trieu!):

I placed an order, who else is in? :wish:

Jakes_tl 05-04-2016 11:26 AM

That is a beautiful exhaust!

robpp 05-04-2016 05:14 PM

you all begged endless to make you something.......and you run to the next best thing :tomato:

integrakiet 05-04-2016 10:01 PM

xtcnrice..does is sound loud during normal driving? How loud compare to Tsudo? I actually heard the deep tone sound (not loud) from a 2011 TSX (Tsudo exhaust) in person. Just want to get a low deep tone exhaust not noticing much during normal driving. How the fitment from the Greddy when you install it?

xtcnrice 05-05-2016 09:01 AM

Welp, I created the thread almost a year ago, so I was actually holding off in hopes this would come out. This is likely just me, but the endlessrpm vids didn't sound good to me. Don't get me wrong... this is just a start-up vid with a few revs in P, but I'm still more sold on this one tbh.

I just ordered it. I don't have it yet. Will probably come in by end of May. I live in Canada and it will ship to a family member in the US, so probably sometime in June I'll have the exhaust on.

markiev37 05-05-2016 08:20 PM

I like this!!!!!! I just started looking for an exhaust couple weeks ago and now two to choose from...The greddy is growing on me....I don't want any drone(too old for that)...The endless rpm is still on my mind also. I plan on paring the exhaust with and Injen cold air intake and doing a reflash and tune. Not too sure about the pcd. car is a 2012...:yum:

integrakiet 05-05-2016 09:53 PM

xtcnrice..where did you order? Greddy or Heelto..I might order next week since the promotional still until 5/15 on Greddy site and 5/16 on Heelto,

I ordered on HeelToe. I have experience with them, had the account already set up and everything. I also had a gift certificate so that helped

I suggest you make a move soon. HeelToe is probably 50% sold out by now. They mentioned 30% sold out 2 days ago or so.

Highly doubt it is, since it's compatible with stock precat.

You have a custom 3" downpipe? I can't remember :tomato:

Noooo... however, you need that size at the exit for it to flow correctly (well). Remember this video, look at 2.20

So keeping downpipe same diameter helps with that pulsing/ high velocity low pressure area (near the exit), but after the downpipe it would be ok to increase size all the way back :D

xtcnrice 05-06-2016 11:06 AM

Oh right.. I didn't even click on the link cuz I remember this now. Very detailed explanations.

We'll have to wait and see!

Well, in the end it will probably be the perfect exhaust for you, good sound note and most likely less restrictive than OEM. Overall good upgrade. and Im sure you will be able to sell very easily for $500 when you're done.

So basically you're getting a new exhaust for $175!

markiev37 05-06-2016 02:03 PM

Just put my order in!!!!!!!! Whoooooooooooooooo!!!!

integrakiet 05-07-2016 04:49 AM

Got my order in Heeltoe with 5% coupon code (acurazinerocks) . Coming out nice deal around $652.

boki_cu2 05-11-2016 04:15 AM

Cu2Suspect 05-11-2016 06:33 AM
