Aren't you afraid that without the clips the bumper will fall off...?

Wow, I don't think I could drive knowing that my bumper isn't securely fastened, but I guess that's just me

releases the air and noise restriction.

after the removal, the car sounds like it has a cold air intake at 4-5k RPM

i did it just because i like how the car sounds meaner. i didnt do it for performance gains.

i wouldnt know. its a free and simple mod.

someone would have to take it to a dyno to get an accurate answer

can you post a video to show how it would sound without the resonator...

As far as performance gains go, you probably lost some low end and maybe just maybe gained some top end.

I made these clips after I took out the rubber coupling tube between the airbox and resonator. Technically the resonator is still in but is being bypassed since the coupler is gone. I later took the resonator out while I was putting the areo kit in.

I like the sound of the car a lot more with the resonator removed but maybe it's just because I'm still young

Nice I did this last week. So my honest opinions, sound is definitely nice. Has a sweet, deep roar on full throttle above 3k RPM. haven't noticed a lot of improvement in throttle response, gains don't seem noticeable. I FEEL there's a loss of punch in low end torque, but I'm not sure if it's because I expect more with the louder sound? IDK..

In any case we're installing a Takeda intake next week so that should be a lot of fun.

Here's my vid on the resonator delete if anyone wants to hear a sound comparison:
