Brake Caliper Covers

Has anyone found a solution to the tsx's ugly brakes? I noticed the new rdx has covers and I was wondering if anyone knows if they would fit, the new ILX 2.4 is suppose to have covers too from what the dealership told me.

It's not a full cover like the eBay ones. It covers the pad area. Thanks for the info though...I may try that combined with black VHT paint on the rest...

check the part number for the new RDX's brakes to see if it matches the same part number used on the v4 or v6 TSX

Because it still looks like crap done that way. This may be a compromise...

and the paint wears and looks like shit AND caliper paint gives a glossy look (not for me)

if these are the same style that mercedes uses they will look the business.

I came across these while looking for caliper covers.
http://www.calipercovers.com/

I dont know though. To me, its in between cheese and cool. The website claims that it does serve some function. Prevents brake dust from going all over the place.
I would definitely do it, but at $200 for a set of 4 covers, $200 - $300 for better rotors - i might as well get a real brake kit for a couple hundred more.

Those reared their ugly heads around here a while back. I'm confident it was a unanimous, resounding NO! Especially for the price.

Anyone find out if the RDX covers fit the TSX I4? And I can't find the RDX covers for the rear or Bernardi's website. only the front.

I had the RDX 2013 as a loaner and saw the brake cover in person. Only two wheels on the front has brake cover but the rear does not. It doesn't drastically change the appearance at the same time, it isn't expensive. Little neat mod for those who spare time.

any issues

Are there any issues with the covers since they are glued on, when work needs to be done on your brakes...

Good point. I would likely do my own brake work but I'm concerns with Acura techs throwing them away while doing tire rotations.

Nope it shouldnt be a problem if you have the RDX covers installed. As long as you dont glue it to the actual brake just the caliper housing you should be fine.

I want to know too, been reading the thread on how the price jumped like crazy!

I am ordering mine from local stealership. $15.30 something plus tax each, but they are available next day and are in stock. Problem is that I am in the process of moving so I won't be able to test fit on 09 Tsx until middle of next month

you could always buy em and see for yourself if you are in such a rush

OR

you could just be patient considering two people in the thread said they would do it in mid november
