Mine is left uncovered because it fell off after an accident, and i have no plans to put it back on because the edges and the holes where you fasten it is bent and mangled. Finding a replacement one is tricky because you have to buy the complete undercover assembly along with that aluminium cover, and its super expensive.

I had to replace mine because the screws rusted to the inserts. It was ugly getting the cover out. New cover got lots of antiseize to prevent this from happening again. It is truly expensive, $550 IIRC. I would not leave it off, helps for aerodynamics and for us in the north (yourself included), snow protection.
