Has anybody gotten a deal from XM Canada. Our subscription is about to expire. We got a letter from Sirius Canada offering $5 a month for the 1st 6 months and free activation. So XM Canada calls on monday wanting us to renew. My wife told them about the Sirius deal. The operator just says "we don't do that" and hangs up. XM Canada calls again tonight. Again my wife tells them about the Sirius deal and the operator says if you want to go with Sirius, to just go ahead.

Call XM and tell them that you want to cancel your subscription. The first person that you talk to will likely pass you off to a "customer service specialist" who will be able to give you a better deal. I usually tell them that "I like the service, but not enough to pay that much money for it" I have done this several times and it always works.
