I want to upgrade the sound system on the new 2010 TSX, I got the base model. I've never done any sound system upgrades before, so I'm pretty confused.

I read a post on this forum about not being able to simply swap the amp and after market speakers will not fit the front door without spacers?

Has anybody actually upgraded their system??

 

I’m working on speaker and amp upgrades for the tech and base package. For the front doors you can use 6.5s but will need a ¾ inch spacer. I have the dimensions and information on what to do. I will post the photos soon.

You said that front speakers are 6.5s, and I'll upgrade amp too. Nothing high end, like $300 budget for 2 speakers and new amp. If I get these components, they are not plug and play?? I read some of your other posts about bypassing factory amp, etc. Sounds very complicated!

But post the instructions, the stock sound system is terrible...
