Is rearview camera adjustable (aiming)?
Hey all,
I've had my 2010 TSX Tech for about 2 weeks now and have a question that i can't seem to find anywhere (tried googling it and searching here on the forums to no avail).
My question/concern is about the rearview camera that comes with the Tech pkg. It seems that within the past few days, the rearview camera is "off aim". I notice that when I am backing up, the camera catches a bit of the license tag frame along with part of the left rear tail light in the picture... Is there any way to adjust aim on the rearview camera???
Now since I've only had the car for a little while, I cannot seem to remember for sure if this has always been the case, or if it somehow became adjusted somehow so now that it is aiming down a bit. I seem to remember when I first got the car, that the rearview camera did NOT catch any part of the car (license frame or tail lights)... I think I would've noticed something like this when I first got the car (since I'm a bit OCD lol). Maybe I was just too ecstatic when I got it so I didn't notice this minor issue...
Can someone please chime in and let me know if your rearview cam is aimed like mine (where it catches a part of the license frame, bumper, and tail light)??
Thx in advance for the help!

My '09 is also aimed this way, and has been since day 1. Most likely you really were quite ecstatic and caught up in purchasing your new car.
I actually like it the way it is because it gives me a frame of reference. In my apartment parking space, I know to stop exactly when the bumper passes over the last "plank" on the parking lift.
Congratulations on the new car!

i guess i was just too ecstatic to notice when i first got the car! lol
well, that's good to know that other ppl's camera is aimed the same way as mine. I thought mine slipped or something...
and you make a very valid point MrOtocinclus. it is good to have a reference point as to where your car's rear bumper is at, so that you can gauge when to stop or whatnot.
thx for the input everyone! now on to the next thing I gotta worry about: registering for new tags!! not looking fwd to shelling out $600-800
