Radar on XM NavWeather?

I haven't been on this forum much since 2005 when I bought my first TSX (05 CGP 5AT/Nav). Still have that car and love it.

Last week my '08 Special Edition Miata was totalled when a careless moron in an Expedition plowed into it. So last night, we replaced it with an 09 BRP 5AT Tech. LOVE IT.

Ever since I first heard of the XM NavWeather, my first though was "does it have a radar display?"

Well, if it does... I can't find it.

I'm from Oklahoma, where every child by the age of 3 can look at a radar display and immediately identify rotation, inflow, hook echoes, and gust fronts, and with a glance know if I can drive on or if I need to be getting into an underground parking garage ASAP. If our new car can actually display radar images, I'm in, and I'll subscribe to it. If all it can do is display happy little smiling sunshine icons, then it's not worth my money.

I've seen screenshots of other portable devices that supposedly use XM NavWeather and show radar. So, can the one in my new TSX do it, or not?

There is a "warning map" function which shows you where things like winter storm warnings, high winds, etc...

So are they different systems? I know the TL's display is VGA, but I thought the back-end unit was the same. If so, I wonder if the radar is present but just disabled in the menu like the trip computer was in the 3rd-gen TLs. If so, it might be possible to enable it with a little hackery...
