Motorola Droid Report

I previously had an iPhone 2G but just recently got the new Droid. I wanted to share my findings in case anyone was on the fence with this phone. I have a 2009 non-tech.

Here's what I know works:
-Bluetooth paired with car
-calls transfered to HFL
-unlike the iPhone 2G, the droid automatically goes to HFL when I initiate a call from the phone
-Bluetooth audio works! I launched the music player and switched to the bt audio.
-Pandora radio works too!
- With both the music player and Pandora, I can change tracks using the steering wheel controls or the dashboard, but I can't do anything else like the functionality of the iPod controls. The screen only shows "Bluetooth Audio"

Here's a quick scenario: I'm getting in my car, my phone has pandora paused and bt on. I turn on my car and switch to bt audio, which results in pandora autoplaying. I switch to radio and my Pandora auto pauses. Pretty cool.

I also tried the usb connection and it works like a standard flash drive. I have to put the sd card as "mount mode" so its not automatic when I connect the phone. Its an extra step.. also, usb mode annoys me because the folders are all named "Folder #." The phone gets charged while in usb mode.

That's all I can think of for now. I didn't have time to try importing contacts but I will soon. I think the droid is a pretty cool phone so far.

What model Acura do you have? I have an MDX with navigation, 2008, need a new phone and want the Droid if it's compatible. Were you able to transfer the phone book?

Does the Droid support OPP, so that you can send contacts to the HFL?

Unfortunately I couldn't import contacts from the Droid. There is no option on the Droid to send contact info via bluetooth.
