Error on Cellular Phonebook Import
OK here's the sitch...
Just picked up my new 2010 TSX Tech (Grigio/Ebony/5AT, btw) and I have a BlackBerry Bold with the latest software from AT&T. I successfully paired the phone with HFL and verified that the BT Audio works too. When I attempt to do a Cellular Phonebook import, I get the following error:
![](http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a261/mjp3475/HFLerror.jpg)
"426 entries are stored. Some information could not be imported. The phonebook exceeds the supported file size." Has anyone encountered this error message before? According to my searches, I think I'm the only one!
My BlackBerry says that I have 473 contacts, so I'm missing 47. According to all available documentation and websites from Acura, the system holds up to 1000 Contacts and 10,000 phone numbers. I know that I don't have 23 numbers per contact to exceed the 10,000 limit...
I have noticed some strange behavior other times ... first attempt I only got 423 loaded, then I shortened the name of one of my contacts starting with X (I assumed it got down in that neighborhood when it error-ed), and then I was able to get to 426 as the error above shows. I've had it fail a couple times on me, too. Also once when I got the above error it imported every phone number as a single entry so I had many duplicate names (700+). I've attempted the import about 8 times so far without 100% success.
I do plan to call the HFL 800 number tomorrow morning, but figured I'd reach out to the community to see if anyone has encountered this before, and if they were able, how did they fix it?
Thanks in advance!

OK, case closed... and here's the resolution in case anyone else runs into this:
Half of it was a "duh" on my part and the other half I'll blame on Acura/Alpine for the poor "error" message.![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Props to the Acura HFL support line as they knew exactly what the issue was... While I have 473 contacts in my phone, 47 of them (btw confirming this in Outlook was fun) do NOT have any phone numbers associated with them, so as this only imports phone numbers and nothing else, it skipped those and only imported the 426 that it should. (duh!) So it really wasn't an issue of the file size being exceeded, hence it's 1/2 Alpine's fault.
